I was really sure about egg coffee. My husband is the coffee connoisseur (aka picky), but we were game for a try. He loved the coffee! I tried the egg hot chocolate, not being a coffee drinker, and it was truly amazing. Give it a...More

I had never tasted Egg Coffee in my life and was quite hesitant to try it just at any place. So after a quick search in Trip Advisor I decided to head to this place which is believed to be the oldest known establishment for...More

It's my 1st time trying this weird sounding drink. I must say that this is an awesome drink. It's almost a dessert. A must wen in Hanoi. At a $1.10 each, you should try all the combos on the menu

So glad this place was recommended to us because the egg coffee was just delish. It tasted like tiramisu in a glass! My friend had the one with rum I'd definitely go back for that. If it's too busy it's worth waiting.

So many people in this tiny cafe! Luckily we seemed to have arrived at the end of a peak time, as after a few minutes wait, we were seated. The famous egg coffee was delicious, like a warm mocha smoothie.

Down a small alleyway is this gem of a cafe! Surrounded by locals, sitting on miniature chairs and tables you are absolutely in a different world. The egg coffee is amazing

This is tbe original place to get egg coffee and it is tbe best. This us a staple of Hanoi and a must visit. All other places are just a knock off or a fake so make sure you visit this place only.

Nice crowd of all people sitting around in small chairs enjoying their coffee or other delights of the palate. Great atmosphere as well and the decor was just right. You would have sworn you were in the west as opposed to being in the middle...More

I'm not sure if they add condensed milk to the egg coffee, what I know is they add the blended egg on top of the coffee. But maybe you can request them your specifications.

Giang Cafe was founded by My Father ,Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel. Although the cafe has been relocated twice, its egg coffee recipe is almost the same as in its early days, with its chief ingredients being chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese.
