It has been 4 years since we have been to Hanoi and Giang Cafe. Nothing had changed except maybe for some staff! Egg coffee still awesome!

To get to Giang Cafe, enter the narrow hallway to a space that's two floors. Tables and stools are low to the ground. Menus are taped to the wall beside every table. Wi-Fi is available. Drinks are cheap. The egg coffee is fantastic. Make sure...More

With the chains moving in, these places that are throwbacks to a different age, become more priceless. Nothing fancy, no one standing on ceremony and small plastic chairs. I can't say I am a fan of the egg coffee, but the offering these boys knock...More

Was taken here whilst in Hanoi by our guide on Wendy Wu Tour. Very busy and long narrow cafe. Egg coffee was soon delivered was really nice and an enjoyable experience well worth putting on your todo list whilst in Hanoi.

Dont be intimidated by the narrow walkway / alley that leads to this cafe. The main area is very cute and welcoming, and there is additional seating upstairs. I can honestly say this was the best egg coffee I had during my time in Vietnam.

We were taken here as part of our group tour of Vietnam. We would probably have just walked past this unassuming place if on our own as it's tiny but it is very authentic and has been established for decades. Delicious egg coffee. Our group...More

Found this place from reviews. This authentic shop is situated between shops in the busy street of Hanoi. You have to enter a narrow hallway and will immediately see people sitting down having egg coffees on the traditional low chairs and tables. There is also...More

I'm not sure if they add condensed milk to the egg coffee, what I know is they add the blended egg on top of the coffee. But maybe you can request them your specifications.

Giang Cafe was founded by My Father ,Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel. Although the cafe has been relocated twice, its egg coffee recipe is almost the same as in its early days, with its chief ingredients being chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese.
