We were recommended this place by a friend who lives in Hanoi and I can't speak highly enough of the place. There are copious amounts of similar looking establishments around, but when this place is rarely empty and full of locals as well as travellers, it does put your mind at ease. Food is served really quickly (95% orders are... More

Great place to try "street food", cheaper prices and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Was ideal for my partner and I after walking all day. Staff aren't that friendly though.

I had read the reviews all on this place and thought to give it try. With all the reviews highly rating this, I must say they are right. It is pretty much a one dish restaurant, but as mentioned it is done so well, I had to go twice. Value for money also. I had tried the local noodle soup... More

This place is normally packed with locals and tourists...we tried many dishes there...but what is outstanding is the Noodle Salad...more like a soup. The other dishes were ok...but not really outstanding.

We were just walking down the street not even looking for food when the owner ushered us in. We looked at the menu and saw some noodles and beef for 60000 dong. We figured why not. The food was amazing! It was actually like a noodle and beef salad with roasted peanuts. Honestly so good! What a great find by... More

Street food prices and quality at a little shop that has tables to sit at. The menu is small but everything is simple and delicious. The dumpling bao is perfectly fried and the bun is served readily mixed in a bowl for you which we really liked (most other bun places give you the noodles, sauce, and greens separately to... More

I came to this restaurant to try Bun Bo after being recommended by my friend. I actually loved this food. The food is made of vermicelli, beef, ground nuts and dried onion. Recommend it to everyone!

Description
Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.
