I eat and make pho all the time. On our trip to Vietnam we tried all sorts of pho from Saigon City to Halong bay. This place definitely takes the cake. We talked to a local cooking instructor and she gave us the backstory: this is the spot known to the locals for having the best pho. The lady and... More

One disturbing observation: we watched customers order Trung Ga (doughy bread) for 5000 Dong with their Pho. The locals were given 5 pieces per order. The FOREIGNERS were only given 3 pieces per order. This form of discrimination should be corrected.

Went here on our first morning in Vietnam and joined the queue of locals at breakfast - well worth the wait! Amazing food! We ate the standard pho tai.

We went here on our first night in Vietnam. It was a good introduction in authentic Vietnamese cuisine. You are seated amongst local people and you don't get treated differently (price) if you're a tourist. You have 3 different types of Pho to choose from, the meat is cut in front of you and then thrown into a big pot... More

Recommended by websites and friends, we visited this phó shop. Really authentic dining experience -- it was packed with locals and foreigners. The broth was a clear, robust soup packed with beefy goodness, with aromatic herbs and greens lifting it to a richer flavour. Cut chillies and hot sauce condiments freely available on the table. Thumbs up!

Was recommended by a local we met at Swensens ice cream. Quite nice... very generous for the content esp the meat. Its not a tourist. I suspect this eating place is famous among locals. If you dont stay around old quater, i advice you dont need to come all the way to taste it.

The location is relatively easy to be found. It is full of local customers. The soup base is good. Personally, I recommend to have" the cooked beef" as "the raw beef" is relatively hard in texture. The shop offers fresh chill or chill source for customers. But I think the original taste is fine. The overall taste is good. The overall... More

This was the best Phó i have had. Grab a stool outside and order fromthe counter. It't beef either medium or well done and that's its. The broth is amazing, the most flavorful of all the places we ate. Really inexpensive too

If you enjoy the pure vietnamese pho(hanoi style), you should visit here. It's always full of local and tourist as well. There are lots of beef and the taste of soup is really deep. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We came to this place with our food tour in Hanoi in the very first day of our visit and it was fabulous. The noodle was perfect and the taste was so nice. We came back again and again 4 times with our stay in Hanoi and still wish to try. Nobody should ever miss it. Nowhere in the town... More
