We tried the pork and chicken banh cuon and both were good - so much better than the ones we tried for breakfast at our various hotels.

This was on the recommendation of the hotel, which was just 20 metres away. We really liked this; light and tasty. Reminded us much of rice rolls in chinese restaurants. Really good.
It's been 5 years since I ate here, but I still think about it because it was so good. I've never found banh cuon as good as this
We came here as part of a street food tour and loved it so much that we came back on our own the next day. Between the 2 visits, we had the pork banh cuon, shrimp banh cuon, and some sausage. Our favorite was probably...the pork banh cuon. The dipping sauce is so good!More
This place serves steamed rice rolls with fillings inside. Similar to the Cantonese Cheong Fan in material, but with the Vietnamese taste.
Very cheap, traditionnal Vietnamese food. You can try pork or shrimp Banh Cuon. Very easy to take away.
Great little pittstop..these sticky rice rolls are freshly made at front of store. Choice of fillings we ordered shrimp and pork. we read a lot About this place to come...was nice but light on the fillings. more filling needed so it doesnt become just another...noodle dishMore
I noticed there are two entries at TP,they are the same, another one is Banh cuo Gia Truyen Thah Van,located at 12-14 Hang Ga,this one is 14, Hang Ga,they are neighbors. i had dinner at 14 Hang Ga,ordered banh cuon nhan tom tuo(steamed rice roll pancake...with fresh shrimp)i,trung ga (chicken eggs in the rice roll)and cha com(roasted green rice pork)the price is not expensive.the taste is authentic, and simple food.i can eat more, but controlled.not sure if it is the best, but a bit bland for me,anyway,a good try,may come again to taste other flavors.More
This is a great place to take a group of friends who all like different things and or have dietary restrictions, because there is something for everyone. It is hard to find a place with so that many choices. The ingredients are very fresh. I...had mine plain and it was still a perfect light lunch.More
We went to this place especially for the Banh Cuon (stuffed steamed rolled rice flour pancakes) and I am glad we made it to this place. We ordered both the 1 X chicken and 1 X pork combo which came with the Banh Cuon (4-5...rolled pancakes) and Cha Que (2 X Roasted Cinnamon Pork). In flavour I preferred the pork Banh Cuon over the chicken and of we weren't full I would have tried the shrimp to see what that was like. I would have definitely gone back to this place but our time in Hanoi only allowed one visit 😢More
Perhaps one of the best steamed rice rolls in town. It did feel like a fast food restaurant, felt a bit rushed.. i didn't really like the meat that came with the rolls (if you order the combo). The rest were delicious.
I tried this one as well because it was just so closed to the first one I had tried, and I tried to see if there is any difference, the sauce was okay for me
Went there twice during my stay. First time i tried all the 3 flavors banh cuon which is the shrimp, pork and chicken filling. The second time I went for shrimp. So you would know my preference. But all three was yummy. The fried shallots...made the whole plate aromatic. A plate of shrimp filled banh cuon cost 60k vnd. Very worthwhile.More
Disgusting. Dirty place. We sat down to eat food. Dogs running around. One dog urinated on the stairs inside. Other dog urinated under the table. Dogs going to toilet inside the restaurant. This is dirty and unclean. Stairs inside on corner are stained yellow due...to dog piss.More
The rice paper roll I had here was the best I've had. Super thin, silky smooth rice paper that wraps around the filling perfectly. I ordered the mushroom and pork filling and it was great. It is served with fried onions and a fish sauce,...which adds more flavour and texture to this simple yet brilliant dish. Don't expect good service, this is a local street food shop after all.More
