I have liked the Hooters brand since I first discovered it in Arizona, USA some 25 years ago. The offer is consistent, decent food and drink, fun atmosphere and of course the Hooters ladies. Sadly, the Hooters ladies in Pattaya, posing, standing outside and doing...everything other than serve the customer. After waiting 10 minutes to try and pay my bill I got fed up walked to the bar to get it sorted. The 10% service charge for getting poor service was annoying and if I was in a combative mood I would have refused to pay it.More

Came here with friends on a Monday when they have a burger promotion where burgers cost 299 instead of 445. Their menu has a "Beyond Burger" listed with a veggie patty and we asked if we could get that as the burger promotion. All burgers...cost 445 except the beyond burger which was listed at 399 so it seemed logical that something at lower value could be included in the promotion. But we asked just to make sure and waited 10 minutes for an answer. Yes, we were told, it's okay. So we ordered the Beyond Burger and what we received was literally a burger bun with onions and lettuce inside. I was shocked a place like Hooters would think it was acceptable to serve up a salad filled bun and call that a burger. For a moment I actually thought they had forgotten to put the beyond meat patty inside and that it could still be rectified. We called the friendly waitress and pointed out the missing patty to her and she answered that under the burger promotion this salad burger would count as their veggie burger. When I reminded her that we had asked her previously if the beyond burger could be ordered which clearly has a veggie patty listed as one of the ingredients, she replied that her manager had agreed earlier but had now changed her mind. Very strange indeed. We returned the order, not about to pay 299 baht for salad filled bread especially after making sure we could get the beyond burger ealier. That's when the manager came and told us we would not be allowed to cancel our order because we had apparently been warned that our order would be a "vegan burger" and on Mondays the Hooters "vegan burger" meant a salad filled bun without a patty. All this with our otherwise friendly waitress standing next to her agreeing vigorously that we had been explained this and acting like we had never clarified that we wanted the beyond burger just as it was listed on the menu. It was ridiculous and frustrating but after what seemed like an eternity of arguments the manager agreed to let us cancel our sad order of lettuce burger. We left without having had dinner. Needless to say neither I nor my friends will be coming back.More
