About
Rider’s Corner is located inside the North East corner of the Moat Square in Chiang Mai, in north west Thailand. This part of the moat and old city is known as Sri Phum Corner, and the Sri Phum Fort that our bar and restaurant overlooks dates from the year 1296AD. Riders Corner was opened here in December 2010 by Phillip and Som, and our current owners, Ian and Tum have extensive experience here. Our primary chef was hired from one of the best restaurants in Chiang Mai and has developed an unbeatable menu of Western and Thai food. In addition to our restaurant and bar, we have rooms and motorcycles for rent, a free pool table for patrons and satellite TV with a wide range of sports programming and motorcycling-related entertainment.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Totally not local fare, but Rider's Corner has ribs like you have never tasted before. Guess the local meat supply is not your usual hormone fed beef? Delicious! They have their own smoker, so it goes from the smoker to your plate. Don't miss the breakfast bacon which comes off the smoker as well.

The owner really goes above and beyond to help and accommodate rentals. Genuinely a great guy and I’m more than happy with my rental.

Riders Corner has a wide range of excellent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be it Thai or Western it certainly won't disappoint you and well priced. Warm and friendly atmosphere they make you feel most welcome. Motorcycle hire is available with very well maintained and looked after motorcycles. Good location to everything. Oh, and very very good coffee too. I definitely recommend a visit to Riders Corner.

Good food to moderate prices, very friendly owners.
They also rent out rooms very cheap. The rooms are not high standard, but absolutely ok.
We rented two motorcycles för a few days, the service regarding that is excellent.
We plan to return next year!

This place is just superb. It's spacious and quirky. The furniture is rustic wood and superb. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The cafe offers a superb selection of food - ideal for brunch/lunch. It's great for a coffee stop or even a beer. Really recommend a visit.

Best place to rent a motorcycle, hands-down: the bikes are immaculately maintained by an awesome ADV rider (ask him for his videos and elephant stories!), and you won't get any of the back-end bogus charges you get at pretty much all of the other rental spots (e.g. "oh I see a scratch, that will be 1,000 bhat"). Also amazing is that Rider's Corner is probably the only place in Chiang Mai that is able and willing to procure papers to take the bikes into Laos (highly recommended!). He also has off-road maps he's charted himself, for you dirt riders out there. Rider's Corner made our whole trip!

Great place for a drink, good food, and great people. The owner, Ian, gave us some great advice and was so welcoming and friendly. I can't remember what it's called, but you have to try the traditional local dish. You can ask Ian and he'll tell you what it is.

I have been to this place a few times each year I am in Chiang Mai. The owner, Ian, is the most accommodating manager you can ever wish for. Very attentive and personalizes everything. The food is very tasty and the portions are larger than many other places. The prices are very affordable and I don't think you can get any nice meal at this price in any western restaurants. They also rent bikes and help you with whatever motorbike related questions you have. It is a great option to have an English speaking motorbike expert in Chiang Mai and with decent food and coffee.

This place has great food. You can work your way through the menu for a few weeks. I was here in 2013 and the place was so-so. It recently got taken over and the new owner made all the right moves, including a very expensive and fancy coffee machine.
It's a motorcycle place, but the owner's wife runs the kitchen. Ian, the owner, is a true motorcycle aficionado and knows his stuff. They have lots of road dirt bike rentals and lodging too.

I stopped by while walking around the moat in Old town, feeling parched and hungry this place hit the spot. Cozy ambiance, great service, cold beer and delicious Greek salad.
