The pasta dishes here are ok...I like the gnocchi. However, getting a consistent good meal here is a problem. Sometimes good, sometimes ok, sometimes you have to send it back, which really doesn't work well in Thailand. The Bruschetta and Pumpkin soup are winners...they stay the same. Thus, the average rating.

Quite location in Old City with pleasant setting. Good menu and Pizza was good but ham was very salty. Efficient service, but not friendly - no atmosphere in restaurant.

We went to this restaurant after three weeks in Thailand looking for a break from Asian food. So we had pizza and pasta. I live in France and so know a good pizza when I see (taste) one. This one was great. Thin crust, with a spicy touch, well we're in Thailand. My wife had pasta cooked "al dente" in... More

The place is nice and clean. I ordered "homemade pasta with homemade Italian sausage. A side of bread for the sauce. The bread was dried out and stale, I could not eat it much less pickup any sauce with it. The sausage was not identifiable with any Italian sausage I ever had. If the owner is Italian, he gave up... After one month in Thailand I just wanted eat something different from Thai food so finally I get to this place. As I am Italian I expected to be disappointed about pizza but nope! Really good pizza, nice restaurant and fair prices. The owner is Italian and really nice guy. I will go again if I will go back to... More

We went to this restaurant for supper and ordered two beers, a cheese pizza, and a lasagna. The lasagna was amazing, everything tasted homemade. The pizza was a good size to share, they were generous with the cheese and it was a thin crust, as you would get it in Italy. My boyfriend then ordered a latte. It was very... More

I was really disappointed with my experience at La Fontana in January, 2017. I recall going there twice in 2015 -- nothing spectacular at the time, but the pizza was OK. When I went back for my 3rd visit, however, things had taken a turn for the much worse. I ordered a pizza special on the chalkboard (not from the... More

Hey Mr. fastidious. As soon as you walk inside my restaurant I was sure you were going to make a problem. You were so rude with my staff and myself that we wish you would walked away instead that stay. Your critics about our pizza is pure fantasy, you saw the pizza man make the pizza in front of you... Whilst in chiang mai we visited la Fontana twice. The first time we can in by chance looking for a nice place for dinner; the second time because we enjoyed the food that much. We tried different courses from carpaccio, spaghetti al bonhomie, pizza al 4 for Maggie to chicken in Gorgonzola and the steak. All well prepared and tasty.... More

Looked up google maps & came here as me & the other half fancied a break from Thai food. It was the nearest Italian from our guest house in the old town. We ordered a pizza & pasta to share & the food was lovely. Staff were friendly too & the restaurant was set in a nice quiet area.
