This restaurant has a menu that is in a glossy magazine like book. The choices at this place are impressive! This is where the locals eat cause the food is awesome! This restaurant has indoor and out door seating and I highly recommend reservations. We had the pork Satay it was tender and juicy, the 4 types of veggies on... More

One of the best thai restaurant in Chiang Mai, the food is excellent with great surroundings. Located right on the river, the place truly stands out. Recommended for all vegetarians to go there. Their variety is great. Great for lunch and dinner. We will definitely be back. Service is great too, the price is a little bit expensive for Chiang... More

This restaurant is amazing. Its best to order a bunch of dishes and share them as a table. Everything we had was amazing and the Tom Kha Guy was one of the best I've had. The restaurant is also located along the river and is particularly nice at night. I'll definitely return here next time I'm in town.

We had a lovely meal overlooking the River Ping on our first night in Chiang Mai. An extensive menu and wonderful service experience, making sure my food allergy was taken into account.

Our group of 6 plus 2 kids decided on this place for its river frontage, large parking lot & good food, to welcome old friends from Italy. Quality of food was good, with large shrimps in many dishes, and spiciness tuned for Thai tastes. Large menu of Thai, seafood & western dishes. Ambiance was above average for a Thai restaurant,... A restaurant by the Ping River. The ambience just simply perfect! Good food at reasonable pricing. Have a meal here and you have the choice of enjoying indoor or outdoor. The restaurant serves Thai & Italian cuisine. From our local friends here highly suggested Thai cuisine. Must try Royal Thai Style Pork Satay and their frozen beer (unfortunately we don't... More

Food was very good. It's better then the river market as I can say as my opinion. To enter, it look weird. You got to go through a alley way which is way dark. But otherwise the everything at this restaurant is nice.

The restaurant is sited by the river and in the night the place looks beautiful in its garden setting. Food served was excellent and price was decent. We had steamed fish in lemon grass soup, fried tasty chicken which is highly recommended. They also served frozen beer but we preferred the normal cool beer. Service was good and fast. Wonderful... Was very surprised to find this restaurant set beside a river n at the ground level of what I understood as the first n oldes condominium in Chiangmai. As we walked into the restaurant, was very surprised to find its entrance was a garden, full of blooming flowering plants n green settings. The tables were set out in the terrace... More

Description
Back to July 5th, 1978, on Setsiri Road opposite to Wichaiyut Clinic (at present, Southern Wichaiyut Hospital), a small Thai restaurant is situated. At that time, it originates food from our restaurant's original recipe. Later one, it becomes model for various restaurant widely, such as Fried Pork Ribs with Salted Soya Beans Dip, Freeze Beer, Fried Catfish Spicy Salad, etc.

At the present, Samsen Villa Restaurant still serves Thai food and beverage with the same original taste. Moreover, the environment is friendly providing warmth tough to the customers. In addition of the Freeze Beer, or various popular dishes such as Curry Dish of Fresh Water Shell with Acasia and Piper Herb Fried, Twisted Cluster Bean with Prawn, Braised Goat with Chinese herbs, Royal Style Pork Satay's recipes originated by "Jae Kieng" has underlined that the Samsen Villa Restaurant plays only original Thai music, as to remain Thai touch and feel in old classic age. This is considered as our major policy.

Finally, we would like to thank all our customers who have always been giving us your kind support so far.
