We've visited several times here and everytime the food made us feel gratified. Curry is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended about 'burmy curry' made by spicy pork. And another foods are also really nice.

We lobbed here one day for lunch aftee trying to unsuccessfully find another restaurant that apparently serves the best Khao Soi. So glad our tuk tuk driver brought us here ! We had a fabulous meal or fried chicken, khao soi , and the most delicious pork ginger curry, and the price was excellent too. So sad we didnt come... More

This restaurant evidently has been in operation for many years. The location is very handy, but it just doesn't feel very clean and the food we had was rather bland and overcooked.

We always like to go to Aron Rai as they have delicious food, especially curries. The sticky rice is tops. A sink is right near the tables for washing hands. The food is always consistent and delicious as well as reasonable. Good service in a very casual, nothing fancy restaurant. Try it you will like it.

I went December 2016. Third review of this great restaurant. As the sign outside says "best curry in town" well the gauntlet had been thrown down, I had to try one ! So I went for the pork & ginger curry. I wasn't disappointed. Great flavor and to tasty. I also had a som tam to go with it,also good.... More

We went here after reading that it was the best restaurant to get kai sao and pork belly red curry according to Thailand.com/ chiang mai restaurants. We had both these dishes as well as tom yum soup and spicy pork salad. All of it was good but not great and the portions were very small for 60 baht a plate!... More

I think the food is fairly authentic and reasonable priced. If you would like to sample traditional Lanna cuisine, this is the place to go. We tried: 1) Stewed curry pork with ginger 2) Khao Soi 3) Sai Oua (traditional sausage) 4) Durian ice cream (45 THB) Total bill for the above and 2 plates of white rice 320 THB... More

This family restaurant was recommended to us by other travelers who are chefs. The fried chicken is the best I have had in a long time. The curry dishes are popular. Service is quick and friendly. It's a no frills place with outstanding food at low prices. We went there twice.

I have eaten here in 2015 so when back in town December 2016 I went back for more. This is a no frills straight up good honest food kind of restaurant. Every dish I have had here has been great. This visit I went for crispy frog with garlic and pepper, rice, chicken and mushroon and chaing mai sausage. All great... More

We went for lunch. I suspect dinner would be a lot busier. It's an open, under cover restaurant (restaurant is a generous description). Good, honest Thai food. We had the Chiang Mai spicy sausage (delicious), curry noodle (go to Khao Soi Khun Yai instead) and a divine pork and ginger curry. It's local. It's very good. Go.
