For the amount being spent we were expecting more, we booked at 6:30 and arrived at 6:30 and was told to come back at 7:00. No mention of my birthday from the staff, and no presence from the chef in the restaurant. Food was ok,...service, view and music great.More
Top notch quality food and setting, taste, presentation, service, room atmosphere.
Each dish and bite have the complexity and richness of flavor and taste that you may expect from a two-starred Michelin restaurant, in perhaps the most iconic place in Bangkok. Special mention to the...Potato, Caviar & Sea Urchin sequence: what a signature dish!
Everything was spot on. I spent a bit of time reading recent reviews - I personally did not experience any of the negative feedback that may have been shared. I consider myself as demanding when it comes to dining quality. I was fully satisfied with every aspect of the restaurant, from venue to food to service, and warmly recommend Le Normandie for special occasions.
Last but not least: if you are a cheese lover, you must try the Cheese trolley from the Alps - such a level of quality and variety of cross-border Alps cheeses is just unique. Cherry on the cake: it is served with a N-8 Opinel. Memorable.More
Had xmas dinner and expectedly exquisite overall
The full 8 course degustation had gems like their signature uni/cavier. Everything else was very good to great, except the average gnocchi dish. And the petit fours had a surprise egg tart which alas hongkong does much better...Service equally excellent
The xmas menu cost is the same as normal days whereas xmas eve is double. NYE is quadruple the cost so not for meMore
For the reputation for a 3 star Michelin restaurant, you expect perfection and sadly, our dinner didn’t deliver. We found some of the dishes didn’t really go together; some of the flavour combinations didn’t work in our opinion and overall, the menu wasn’t terribly exciting....It is very old fashioned. Small things like some under seasoning and our soufflé had sugar granules in it which hadn’t cooked through. We were completely stuffed; there was an extra dessert and huge plate of petit fours which didn’t make sense after eating such a full meal.
On a more positive note, the amuse bouche were excellent as was the choice of butters, 4 in fact. The bread and cheeses were outstanding and the staff were very friendly. The food was good but for the price, you want it to be memorable.More
For more than 20 years, we come to the restaurant for at least 5-6 times yearly either for family special occasions or for important business guests. We enjoyed the ambience a lot and we were always taken care of and we always felt that this...restaurant could be always recommended.
However this evening we missed almost everything we regularly experienced.
All new faces of the restaurant team were strictly business, their courtesy were indeed below standard.
We will skip this restaurant for a while until we can hear that the improvement is in place.More
We had a good experience overall. Especially the service with the highly attentive waiters was better than any other restaurant we’ve ever experienced. They bring a good atmosphere in the restaurant. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The very passionate and knowledgeble sommelier...was taking the time to explain, in an interesting way, all about the wines. The food was good. The sardines dish was the highlight.
Unfortunately we could not see the view because of the condensation on the windowsMore
to celebrate our 24th anniversary, the atmosphere- the lunch set menu were excellent. Moreover we found the impressive service from our waiter , name Kasem ...he was nice, gentle and had a good service mind. Though it was his duty to explain detail of each...menu-ingredient-how to enjoy, repeatedly for each table, still he gave us a frank smile - sincerely thank you and he was truly polite. All have made us have a perfect time there.More
We went for our belated anniversary celebration. Everything was more than perfect!
There is no way people cannot be impressed by the service they provided.
All dishes were mouthwatering. Desserts were the best!
