Reataurant on the roof top, 4th floor, can see little things. Good for dine during the winter, unless it is too hot. Food, mostly dishes are too salty. Only one dish that I like is spicy salmon. Good combination of seafood sauce and wasabi. By the way, staffs are impolite. Seems they welcome foreigners than locals. Overall restaurant is not... More

Downstairs you enter some sort of bikeshop, then you have to climb your way up 4 stairs - passing a kitchen that really doesn't look clean - and then you reach a cozy and dark little rooftop bar. Most of the patrons are Thai, the prices are reasonable and a good time was had by all. Nobody is there to... More

I was here in 2014 and in Oktober 2016 again and both times I had a wonderful tie up here. The restaurant itself lies in a little spooky area, the stairs that you have to climb up let you doubt that there is a good restaurant waiting on the top - but once you have reached the end of the... More

Visited this place with a friend because of the good ratings. I really don't know why people rate it so good. When we arrive there was nobody downstairs who welcome us and show as the way upstairs , however, i knew its famous for its view upstairs so we just went there. I ordered a "catfish salad" and just got... More

This is a great place for a late evening drink. Windy upstairs very nice when it is so hot in Bangkok. Lovely views!! Live music when we were there.

This was a beautiful surprise coming late one night back from Sukhumvit which was too busy and too touristy. It serves a big variety of nice cold cocktails (140baht), beers and other drinks and it has amazing live music, which seems to be regular. The music is kind of blues-jazz with mixed Thai and western English songs and the guys... More

We can not book at the last day of 2015 so we had to hurry because the owner could't book the table for us.At 18.30. the table was fully sat so we had to wait. The crowed was coming. There are 3-4 storeys. Actually we often go another bar but it was fully book. The food came late as there... More

I have been here several times great food at reasonable prices. However, last time we went we had to wait 50 minutes for 2 plates of fried rice?? The restaurant was not even half full. No apology from the staff or updates. Several tables were complaining. Can get a bit busy but still mostly Thai customers on the 4th floor... More

This place had great food and atmosphere. We sat at the roof bar on a nice December evening listening to some smooth music (jazz / elvis etc). Drink prices area good. Food was also well priced and very tasty. Highly recommended.

We found this restaurant in the lonely planet guide book. It was easy to find and we walked straight up the four flights of stairs to the top. The food was very good, it was all very tasty and great value for money. The drinks were also delicious; we had some beers, cocktails and soft drinks. The view was okay,... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
