Went to have diner with my wife at this particular place. The restaurant is very strange looking. The decoration seems completely off with the atmosphere and music. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Some communication problems due to the waitress not being Thai arose but nothing that could not be overcome. After a look at the menu the drinks and food... What a great find this was, I was strolling around the back streets of Silom and stumbled across this very nice Italian restaurant with super friendly staff. I really enjoyed the Fettuccine with scallops & rock lobster. Check out my travel blog here, http://fivestarvagabond.com/bon-vivant-bangkok/

My husband and I went to this 'restaurant' last night (1st February 2015). It was our last night in Bangkok and we were looking for somewhere to have a last meal in to round off our trip. What a mistake to make. We should have noticed the early warnings and not sat down. Upon arrival, after walking down a dead... More

We went there because it looked nice and i thought it would be a good place for a fabulous meal with my girlfriend. Sadly it was terribly disappointing and over-priced. There were some good points - we had a table next to a nice tropical, marine aquarium with a nice diversity of anamones and 7 spp of fish. The food... More

The ambience is DREADFUL on account of the TERRIBLE music selection. Think of a pandora station centred on Michael Bolton. Food is good but as I sit here now I have a barely repressible urge to run out screaming. The band is awful too - imitating western music but seemingly without the slightest understanding of what it's about. I would... More

We stumbled across this place after a drink at sky bar and were so glad we did! The service was excellent, food fantastic, price very reasonable (£40) for 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 beers, also lovely ambience with the live music which was great. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back again on our next visit to... More

We had a bit if trouble finding Vintage down probably the quietest road in Bangkok, but were glad we did. Good quality European fare, and very attentive service. Prices are quite high by Bangkok standards, but cheap by Western standards and you definitely get what you pay for. A cosy atmosphere, a nice escape from the busy Bangkok streets with... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
