We ate at Pratchak yesterday - we've eaten here before but never reviewed. Had egg noodles with shrimp wonton, crispy pork and Chinese sausage. The food was sensational as usual - fast service - rustic tables and chaired shared by any diners. Rice was cooked perfectly and Chinese sausage delicious slightly sweet. Two tall cokes finished our meal - all... More

This was your typical hole in the wall local gem with amazing food! It was walking distance from our hotel. We were the only tourist in the spot. We sat on pink plastic chairs, with posters and accolades for the restaurant on the wall. We tried like 6 different plates/dishes for $10 USD. Unbelievable! Tasty and local! If you have... More

You can find very delicious roasted duck here. Don't forget to order crispy pork, and wanton soup, also great taste. For the service, forget it, very slow and staff not friendly at all. I can say, one of lady staff here very rude. But how can you ask better service from this class of restaurant, no way. So only appreciate... More

In an unassuming shop with a slight old world charm lies some good treasures. Roast duck is one of the best ever tasted and devoid of the regular msg salt. Egg noodles were tasty and so were pork wontons.

What a combination! Tasty roast duck, good portions and reasonable prices. The roast duck at Prachak Pet Yang is consistently good. The sentiment is shared by the customers who crowd into the small restaurant. Individuals and couple may have to share tables and the small tables can be challenging when side dishes are ordered. Realizing the table's size constraint, we... More

While I accept that when in Thailand eat Thai food but if you are in the mood for some seriously good Roast duck look no-further than Prachak. The place itself is hard-core - I doubt there's been a lick of paint or any upgrades for decades. The narrow entry is instantly recognisable with a plethora of dead ducks hanging in... More

If you love duck then you'll have to check this place out. I used to live in the neighborhood and would go a few times a month. Apparently it's been there for over a century. There's a reason for that :).

Went here with my wife and our Thai friend. We arrived at 7:45 PM. They were out of all of the specialties like duck feet, duck tongue, duck cheeks, and duck neck. They were also out of the Fish Maw with fried noodles. Got some pork belly and their appetizer sampler platter. Good but not great.from what I've been told... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
