Enjoyed the good South Indian food. Problem is the staff are really bad and there is a Thai staff who doesn't understand anything. We asked for podi and he brought poori. Limited items in the menu but taste was very good.

My expectations of a thali range form the Bombay Indra Bhavan in Mysore at the top of the range to the average second class sleeper fare at the bottom. This fell well below the latter. A thali should be a stimulating, varied , fragrant and piquant affair, with sharp and fiery rasam, rich sambar, a couple of fresh and lively... More

Came here because of all the recommendations on Trip Advisor. Was very disappointing. Should have twigged when we noticed no-one except a family inside. Decor is very strange (let's just say they haven't bothered), lassis were very warted down and the thali was the worst I'd eaten. Perhaps their idlis are good but it's not worthing going to for dinner.

We had dinner here . Starters followed by onion and potato dosas. Not heaps of choices but we were very happy with what we chose. 410 baht for 2 starters and two dosas and bottle of water. Friendly helpful owner and very tasty food.

Best Indian food we have had outside of India. Absolutely delicious, wonderful vegetarian food, and very friendly owner. We look forward to returning.

Came there after seeing positive reviews and were not disappointed. Great Indian food, decent prices, easy to find, homely atmosphere. The Thali meal was very tasty and great value. I recommend this to anyone who loves Indian food - even if you are not vegetarian.

The breakfast in Chennai Kitchen describes perfection through simplicity quite effortlessly. Selection is limited, but make no mistake the quality is second to none. Be open to the suggestions from the kitchen and enjoy!

This was our first time eating this type of Indian food. Vegetarian only, craped of all type. We prefer the more traditional Indian food of brianys, and chicken tikka.

We went to this place after seeing good reviews. By the time we reached, it was around 8 - 8 15 PM. We were told that the food was over by 8 PM. We were very disappointed.

We arrived around 3 pm and didn't notice the restaurant was closing but they accepted to make us food (thali, assortiment) and it was delicious ! All is vegetarian, and we really like everything. People are very nice. Great place to eat before (or after) a visit to the fabulous Sri Maharariaman hindu temple !

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
