Sawsadee is one of 4 restaurant on Rambuttri road that have the same menu. You expect the same food with the same quality and the same service but unfortunately they just cannot do these things. Service is worst of all!! Staff doesnt speak English and Thai. Because of this most of the times they bring a wrong order. Then you... More

Way overpriced for what you get, boring westernised Thai food, bland at best. I ate here many years ago and hated it, gave it another try and hated it again. Beers are the most expensive in the area, yet this place is always crowded because of the location and most "two week tourists" don't know any better.

Had the scrambled eggs with bacon. But they just put one tiny peace of bacon with it. Very disappointing

We ordered pad thai and papaya salad. The pad thai was not edible and completely disgusting. It was the worst pad thai I have eaten in whole SE Asia. There was no peanuts and lime to add some taste. We could not eat it. The papaya salad was small and sad. When we complained to the staff they arrogantly smiled... More

Went here on a few occasions with my boyfriend. Food was always nice staff seemed friendly. Played a few games of pool and my boyfriend had to intervene between a domestic violence assault on a young lady who works there. The man continued to hit her and verbally abuse her. My boyfriend and I both went to other staff members... More

Got there by accident but did not expect it to be so bad and touristic. We ordered pad thai, which was seasoned with ketchup (!), too sweet and salty at the same time. The fish fillets were smelly and had a poor selection of veggies with it. Green curry was too sweet and the veggies in it were still partially... More

The service was ok, but I did'nt like the food. There are better and cheaper places to eat in this area.

This is NOT for the backpacker. The food is not even average, but very expensive. You are paying for the LOCATION. There is much better and cheaper food near this place but it is great people watching here. FOOD TYPE: Thai / Western FOOD QUALITY: below average. My food was undercooked. PRICE: expensive 150+ Baht per meal STAFF PROFESSIONALISM: average... More

This restaurant even though it has 3 seperate large room does get very busy. We had prawn Tom Yom soup and stir fried mixed vegetables which we found very average. They cook a lot of the food outside at the front of the restaurant and from what we could see they didn't have enough cooks to cope with demand.

We had the shrimp pad-thai, the rice in the pineapple, watermelon and lemon shakes and an apple strudel. It was really good, I recommend this place.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
