Due to a massive rainstorm, by good fortune, we ended up having dinner here (as it is right next to the BTS). Our service was superb, and our dim sum was excellently prepared. However the star of the evening was the Hong Kong Roast Duck....More

A nice staple to enjoy when staying at the Shangri-la in Bangkok. Their dim sum is very good and quite authentic. There is a Hong Kong chef on staff and so the authenticity is to be expected. There is a nice ambiance inside and the...More

Restaurant quite large but with few people eating on our visit lacked atmosphere. Service okay but rice brought out a few minutes after main course, one of our main courses had poor quality chicken, we did complain and dish was deducted from bill.

The Shang Palace is the Chinese restaurant of Shangri la hotels and I have eaten in the Shang Palace in Singapore, in Hong Kong, in Chiang Mai - I believe it was called that there- and now. In Bangkok. This did not disappoint. Dim sum...More

This is the place that serves probably the best Peking duck in the country. Peking duck in Bangkok is different from those in Beijing because over here the crispy duck skin was skinned off the duck and then the fat was painstakingly scrapped off one...More

I have ate here many many times and the food was always excellent. However they have had a makeover to the decor and also the menu, the Menu now caters for the Eastern Client....alas I'm western. I will miss my trips here.

Good food and great dining experience. We were offered free shuttle service (in tuk-tuk) to the nearby sky-train station after the meal. The only improvement we would suggest is to add at least one more receptionist to the greeting area of the restaurant. As we...More

This is a good hotel restaurant. The food is delicious, but it could have been a bit hotter (temperature wise, although it was well cooked). A few minor adjustments could help - for example, remove the lunchtime dim sum menu in the evening, provide a...More

Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions,
this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many.
Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi
Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the
plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a
night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's
worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers
on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop
