I came here because of the good references i read about this place. I was disappointed when i came because it was just an ordinary Thai Restaurant which serves good Food and therefore charges you too much. To be precise: i think they have risen their prices just because they knew a lot of "rich" People coming as a result... More

We were staying close by at the Shangri-la hotel so Queen of Curry was very convenient. My partner had Pad Thai and I had a clear curry. Both meals were delicious. My partner had a glass of beer, I had a glass of wine -- a poor choice. Like in many Bangkok restaurants, wine is expensive and not very good... More

We were a group of four who stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel and visited this restaurant based on previous reviews, we were not disappointed. Great local food, friendly service and budget prices. If you are staying close by, this place is good for a quick local Thai dinner/lunch. Will definitely return, we had a great night.

This place has always got a good write up, and now i can see why. We ate there 6 times during our recent stay in Bangkok, and the food was always delicious. Conveniently located near the BTS station, it is frequently busy. A great place to stop in for a bite to eat and a cold beer after lugging around... More

Being back in bangkok and loving this area, we decided to try queen of curry. Staff polite Food okay, but as mentioned in the title-review, made for turists You have lots of possibilities here in bangkok so why not choose the "authentic " places?

The food is very good but not outstanding and the people are friendly but not like some of the other people rave about. I thought the service was slow and not as attentive by Thai standards. Went two nights because it was so close to my hotel. Tom ka soup -- outstanding Papaya Salad -- good but certainly not the... More

Had a couple of meals here as it was very close to the Shangri La hotel where we were staying. The food and service was very good. Tried the seafood soup which was delicious and a pad Thai with chicken again cooked well and very tasty. Compare with other similar restaurants certainly very cheap and well worth a visit if... I ate here based on the recommendation of a local guide. And she was right. It's awesome. Located about 1/2 block from the Shangri-La Hotel, it was easy to get to. I sat on the outdoor patio with a fan going. I had chicken/coconut soup. VERY good. And inexpensive too. Highly recommended for a good meal - just as good,... More

Its been a while since I was back at QoC but just wanted a hassle free, relaxing and easy meal......so I thought QoC. As most reviewers have noted, this is not upmarket but a street side restaurant. A place to relax and chill. The food is as good as the majority of Thai restaurants, if not better than most. In... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
