I have been here several times when in Bangkok. Never has a bad meal and very relaxed atmosphere. It has an outside eating area with fans and an air conditioned inside dining room. Does a very reasonably priced, set lunch special and I have always found their food good. Varied menu with plenty of choice. I will definitely go back... More

The service is very good and the People are very nice. We ordered spaghetti vongole and puttanesco. My food was ok but far away from good. For an Italian Restaurant the Spaghetti were really not special. But now it comes: The vongole we eat was a disaster. We get completely ill shortly after midnight. we were vomiting for 3-5 hours.... I used to go to Via Vai few years ago but then we tried new Italian restaurants and haven’t been back for a while. Well I have to say that the restaurant have a nice new vibe. The warm and nicely lit main sitting area is in a veranda at street level that allows you to look at the “Via... More

I was just out looking for a new place to eat and I bumped into a friend and he suggested Via Vai as we were just around the corner. So I took his advice and went to go explore. I had been there once many years ago. Perhaps my first visit all those years ago just did not click for... More

Food it was ok. We try an australian steak and a chicken ham/cheese with wine sauce. The steak it was good, and the chicken acceptable but i think could be better. Nice atmosphere and correct service. Just a bit disappointed about the extra taxes than they charge you on the bill and finally it is a quiet more expensive than... More

I often go to Via Vai, a lovely italian resto with a veranda located in soi 8. Food is very good and prices are fair. Owner and manager are very kind and you can check the quality of food and the appeal of the place only considerig the number of italian expats and tourists usually eating there. It worths a... More

As we live near Thonglor we have plenty restaurants nearby to enjoy lunch or dinner including Italian restaurants. On account of a recent major disappointment at one of them we decided to revisit one of our former favourites, Via Vai in Sukhumvit Soi 8. We took the Skytrain until Nana and walked the short distance to Soi 8 which is... More

Good food, excellent value for money. I liked the inside and outside seating areas. Wine was good (always important for me). Service is friendly and their wifi works well. Good enough for me to come regularly!

This place has one of the best prices for drinks during happy hours in Sukhumvit, so don't miss it.... The food menu looks good but the prices are more than average and would have been nice if they offered better prices. However, with the prices of the drinks if you are having a meal - still worth it. A must... More

I went with a party of five hungry people. We ordered 3 pizzas and loved each one. They were prepared with fresh ingredients and lots of cheesy goodness. We ordered a bottle of wine and two of us had dessert -- tiramisu. Great Italian food in Thailand.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
