Every afternoon after pounding the streets of Kathmandu I came here to regain my peace of mind. Some of the buildings have been damaged by the earthquake but it is still a lovely place to be. The display about the development of the garden is interesting and it's a great place to people watch: the local families and lovers finding... More

Seriously no words for this place ! It's a piece of heaven in this chaotic city with Victorian architecture and flora ! Magnificently well maintained waterbody and park . Lots of tiny sweet squirrel are really cute things to feed and be sure you are with your loved one or with book . Kaiser cafe inside the garden is little... More

The Garden of Dreams is a lovely peaceful place in the heart of Kathmandu. The Kaiser Restaurant is OK but not exceptional. Service is quite slow.

Peaceful, calm place in the centre of chaotic and dirty city.. It was funny to see all those little squirrels running around but there were also too many flies and that was not as nice. . Waiters were kind and fast and the coffee really good.

One of those special places that is deserving of a visit each time I come to Kathmandu. They have created a very special atmosphere and one can sit in peace with a range of most delicious foods in the surrounding cafes.

Peaceful and special in the crazy intense and dirty city of Katmandu. Go to have a break, lunch or cup of coffee or beer... Take a book ... Even spend the day. It is a 2 min walk from Himalayan Java which had one of the best cups of coffee -- literally anywhere in Nepal and maybe anywhere in Asia.

This cafe has the best view in Kathmandu. Food is excellent and the staff very attentive. Best during the day when you can enjoy the fountains. Had a salad and it was wonderful.

Enjoyed a lunch and a dinner at Kaiser Mahal. The food was excellent and the service good. The meals are quite large!

Garden of dreams is a nice place to just unwind, relax and read. Although some days it does get a little crowded with couples and groups of people, it still is a nice getaway from the usual city noises.

The Garden of Dreams is a wonderful place to take a break in noisy, busy and chaotic Kathmandu. While we were there, a "ping" was set up in the garden and many children were enjoying it.
