With a warm welcome me and my friend took the seat and found the ambience to be really appealing and soothing. We ordered coffee, mojito and some snacks which just made our evening. Being a out going person this is one place to be with good music, friendly staff, smiling faces, neat, very descent and definitely a delightful ambience. The... More

They do serve nice food, but the service can be painfully slow even if you are just going for a drink. Never very busy, probably as it is quite expensive.

Have been to Black Pepper a number of times, most recently in August 2016. The ambience, menu and wait staff are positive points. Prices are average for upscale restaurant in KTM. Most recent visit with colleagues was enjoyable. Cold Carlsberg. Broiled fish and bruschetta were quite good. Two frustrations: 1) Chicken Cordon Bleu was disappointing - very tough, as in... More

Went here a couple of times. I really liked the food, it was very tasty every time. The waiters were nice but the service was very very slow and we had to wait quite long to get our food. But if you're not in rush, order a few drinks and it'll be ok.

We enjoyed the Nepali thali at this place. Both veg and non-veg options are really good. Local taste and not spicy. They have many options on the offering but we tried only this one. The calm and quiet ambience is an additional advantage for those who would love to enjoy their food.

What I like most is its ambience. It's far from the crowded city. It's bar is too small though quite attractive. If they focus on their food quality, then this restaurant will be in top ten in lalitpur.

Food is great, but service is painfully slow (confirmed by several visits). The restaurant has a hard time defining it's style combining garden furniture, with pop-art posters and waiters in suits.

The ambience is pretty good, and the Indian food, or local food is quite good. The Chicken Tikka is the best ever. However, thereafter, that's when things start to become frustrating. They don't know how to keep the white wine cold. The service breaks down after the first encounter. The background music is too loud. The meals are inconsistent, or... More

We had a nice dinner with friends. The service was timely and very friendly. We have ordered fish dishes. Since we are staying in Kathmandu we are always careful with fish, however the owner assured us that it is delivered from good places. The taste was indeed magnificent. The place is quiet and cozy decorated in traditional style. Highly recommended.

Black Pepper Cafe can't quite decide, is it a bar and snacks place or a western-style restaurant. Confusing things even more is that they actually have a pretty good menu of Indian dishes. Here's the lowdown on this overall quite nice restaurant in the Patan-side of Kathmandu: - Nice friendly service, not the fastest but for a leisurely meal just... More
