Right outside Fairfield Marriott where I was staying, the restaurant is set in a beautiful garden. One does not realize that one is busy Thamel after entering here. Great ambience. The food is amazing, Bhutanese curries. Very spicy and a good selection of momos. I recommend this place.

We were here on a Sunday afternoon before we started for our hike. I have had some great food here before and I reordered one of those dishes (Lowa) and it was great. Momos weren't that exceptional though. Also the Momos took forever to arrive but otherwise service was ok. Overall a good sunday lunch with beer.

...but I neither my husband or I could finish our food due to the taste. The waiter looked down at my food and then up at me in what seemed like shock and offense when he came to our table. Perhaps there is some good food here, but we did not enjoy.

I've always loved their Shabaley, Pork momos, Loha, Piro aalu, Emadatsi and their homemade sausage(can't remember what it's called). Ambiance is refreshing and not to forget, the service has ways been good.

I live in Pokhara and whenever I visit kathmandu, I always have either my dinner or lunch in this place. Never had a bad stomach after eating there. Most of the place in kathmandu, I don't trust the food if it is really hygiene or not. Only thing, some staffs are very rude towards Nepalese people. I hope the management... More

My husband and I visited this place after having eaten dinner at The Ship the night before. While the ambiance here is lovely for warm, good weather days, we were quite disappointed with the food given the high reviews. We thought The Ship far exceeded this place and the prices of both restaurants are comparable. The best part was the... More

Was staying closeby to the restaraunt and glad I ducked in one day when I had the time, beautiful and serene garden atmosphere.

I'm not sure why they call this a beer hall. They've got lots more than that Food was very good. Had read elsewhere that the emadatshi, a chilli cheese-based stew/curry, was truly unique and it was. Recommend it highly. Lots of vegetarian choices over all, tho I'm not a vegetarian and they had meat dishes Really nice garden setting in... More

Kathmandu is certainly the hot spot for world gastronomy... but if you haven't tried the Dechenling then you definitely should... specially if you like spicy food - try the Bhutanese influenced dishes and the atmosphere is great
