This meal was the best we had in over a month of traveling in Nepal and Bhutan and we’ve had some great meals! Crisp veggies in sauces that were either light or unique! We had one beef dish which was really good, a little sweet...but very tender. We just enjoyed the veggies so much that we ate them all! The shiitake mushrooms were in a sweet soy sauce but the quality of the mushrooms were so fresh!! The dal soup was PERFECT! Not super thick but still had the lentils intact, superb flavor. I had lunch here with the consultant, tour guide and driver of my tour company. It 's a lovely restaurant in Thimphu with friendly staff. The eight dishes kept coming one after another. They were in small portions but extremely tasty and well presented. This...one to be the best restaurant in Thimphu for me!!!More

My groups like many of the restaurants I bring them to, but this one they always tell me is the best food they've eaten in Thimphu. I agree. The food is Bhutanese with a modern twist, though some items are wholly Bhutanese, just very well...executed. The restaurant is attractive and the staff friendly located above downtown, though easy to reach.More

This is almost a hidden place in Thimphu. Our guide took us there for lunch and we were served an array of vegetable dishes and chicken. All the dishes were well made and were very tasty. The service was excellent as well.

Consistently good food in this restaurant with local cuisine with small twists. Good ambience and good service.

have eaten at zasa often and the way Yangkee and her work force look after each one is amazing. To die for food and its consistent. its a must visit for my team and I each time we are in thimphu.

When we entered the place there seemed to be no-one around. But soon the place filled up and had the staff bustling. The food was awesome. Here you get a fine combination of traditional and contemporary fare, very well prepared and beautifully prepared.

I believe this is one of the nicer places to dine in Thimphu. While we were there, two different group of government officials were entertaining foreign VIPs for dinner. For was pretty good but for the price, it was only very good. Some dishes, like...the soup and a couple of vegetarian dishes and a ground beef dish were excellent while another vegetarian dish and a chicken dish were a big miss. Overall, I think it's a pretty good restaurant and a place worth trying. I've rated a couple of restaurants in Thimphu higher which is consistent with other posts...More

Yangki, the owner and cook of Saza restaurant is a very creative cook and a very nice person. You only choose between a vegetarian or not vegetarian menu. And you get a many course menu that is a delight. I can highly recommend
