We went here as a family and were pleasantly surprised that they had a children's menu. The food that they received was very good and the portions too big for them to finish! Their meal was definitely value for money. It included a juice, main meal and ice cream. Our food was very tasty too and the portions were big.... More

Small portions, delicious pork ribs, disappointing phad thai. Interesting ambience. Great tea selection. Quite expensive (especially with their relatively small portion sizes)

We went in quite big group (6 people), total bill was 300k ($80) so it was value for money. I liked Tom Yum with Chicken (nice spicy), salt & pepper prawns went well with good green mango salad. We ordered custom veggie dish - stir-fried veggies with soy & garlic which also was tasty. Biggest disappointment was fried tilapia with... More

This restaurant came highly reviewed from Tripadvisor, but it turned out to be not true. The Red Thia Curry came out to be the worst I tried in many years of traveling. Service is so so. The location is good but fails in all other aspects.

They've got good food and lovely ambience. Not to mention the ever attentive staff. It is perfect for a romantic outing, but is alos appopriate for business meetings.

Had a quiet Sunday evening at Tamarai, awesome Tom yum soup and very tasty chicken Rendaang. James my waiter was very polite and attentive, even tried to teach me some Luganda. I'll keep trying.

An incredible restaurant with great Thai food, excellent service and a vegetarian/vegan friendly menu. The staff are always helpful and flexible. It's a beautiful spot for a romantic meal or dinner with friends. Although a bit pricey, the portions are quite large. The only reason why I've given 4 and not 5 stars is because I found the fusion menu... More

Although a bit expensive, Tamarai seems to do good quality Thai and Vietnamese food. The restaurant itself is really nice, beautifully set up and surrounded by lush greenery. Just beware of sitting too close to the bushes in the evening, as there could be a lot of mosquitoes.

Came for a business dinner, we both ordered curry and it was a bit bland. Service was good and the wine was cold but would say there are better options in Kampala. Also the music was a bit ridiculous on the loud/club like side for a monday night.

The service is fast and quality, and the food is prepared well. A nice place to stop if you are in this section of Kampala.

Thank Rebecca G
