Sakamanga is the best restaurant in Antananarivo. I tried almost every non-vegetarian dish on the menu. Every single preparation was just awesome.

Compare to the tranquility of the hotel, the restaurant is probably too small to accommodate its demand. Tables are really crammed closely with barely 5 inches between us and the next table. My chair is dead locked with the chair behind me. Food was good but it was way too noisy to enjoy a two-person dinner unless you like the... More

We had dinner here on our first night in Tana. The food was delicious - seafood tartar and camembert with honey to start with and tilapia and garlic prawns as mains. Nice South African wine. Ice cream and local cheese to finish. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. All for 32 Euros!

This place is tucked above the lovely Sakamanga hotel and shares its fusion feel - think Austrian ski lodge meets Madagascan museum, if you can. The menu has good priced mains - steak in green pepper, pasta with carpaccio, duck in honey- for 14,000-20,000 Ar but what really stands out are the deserts. Specifically the chocolate desserts. Service is prompt... More

Six of us went there for lunch and whilst the restaurant interior was pleasant I was disappointed by fois gras that was served with sliced boiled potatoes and the canard de confit main course that was soggy and covered in lumps of fat. The espresso coffee at the end of the meal was good but Im not going back for... More

Nice menu card, Good good, fast service and kind waiters. Only thing is it is quite popular so you should have a reservation.

Wide range of dishes, mix of French and Malagasy cuisine. You will have to go a couple of times to try various dishes. All delicious delicately prepared. Ask for the waiter's recommendation if you are not sure what to pick. First restaurant where I see tempting vegetarian options.

Small restaurant, unprepared for a big group (30 people). However, the food was tasty. I recommend the Zebu steak

Prices are low relative to comparable places. Nice setting and attentive service. Food, like many places in Tana, is almost what you expect. A little bland for my tastes.
