Al Dar serves great lebanese food and I recommend the meat skewers. The warm bread and salad along with humus are great. Their pastries are also delicious. Not cheap, but worth it.

We love going to this restaurant/bakery. We find it very affordable for Luanda to feed a family of 3. We usually get 3-4 chicken shawarma wraps and an order of hummus and pita and spend around 4600-4800kz. Pricing is sometimes inconsistent, as are the fillings in the wraps...they are different every time, but still tasty. The bakry is also great... More

Nice, friendly and clean space. People are very friendly, educated and fast. The food is very good and tasty. Although prices a bit high, you can always go for some less expensive choices. The window full of delicious looking cakes is worth looking at, and possibly taste it. They have take-away service.

Al Dar looks every bit like a Portuguese cake shop but is much more. When you get past the tempting, very fresh-looking pastries in shiny cases then you come into what looks like a buffet but isn't. Each dish on display is a choice and you can't mix and match. Food was pretty appetising and staff are alert. Luanda is... More

Everyone knows that Lebanese food is the best one in the Middle East. Although it is obviously not the same of dining in Beirut, Al Dar will not disappoint you. Excellent to go with friends, so that each can order different food and everyone can experiment a little of everything.

Al Dar is a Lebanese Restaurant at Muculusso, Luanda. Near Sagrada Familia Church and Clinica Vida. A nice place where Angolan and Lebanese employees are like a family. Very educated and professionals. Tasty food, but not so affordable. The pastry, very expensive, is one of the best in town.

Efficient Lebanese which also does excellent pastries and cakes. Cafe style restaurant which is a bit noisy. A bit more expensive than El Amir (Opposite Movicel) run by another branch of the same family and often don't have Tabouleh. I also prefer El Amir's restaurant which is quieter. But Aldar has a better selection of cakes and sweets. El Amir... More

This is an extremely handy, efficient and delicious place for lunch. My wife avails of their great grub almost daily. Wait staff is the tops in Luanda in my opinion--a mix of Angolans and Lebanese who are never afraid to scan the room for customers trying to make eye contact (admittedly, a pet peeve of mine!). Waiters remembered my name... More

From the friendly welcome to leaving content this is a great pit stop for a reasonably priced healthy meal. We took the managers suggestion of meze and a selection of grilled meats. Hummus was rich and tasty and came with a bottomless basket of great bread. Meats were cooked perfectly.

Firstly, you really need to take this for what it is. A very casual restaurant which also seems to do a roaring trade on take away so it's not really the place for a romantic dinner for two, but it doesn't sell itself this way. The service was fantastic and they were right on the ball the whole time. We... More
