This restaurant has a lovely, sedate atmosphere, excellent food, friendly service. The maitre d' was happy to answer our questions in English. One of the wait staff offered to take our photo without even being asked. Their one vegan dish, cous cous with vegetables, is tasty. Tunisian wine by the glass by the glass.

Located in the old city, great ambiance. I liked the entrance of the restaurant. Staff are friendly and service is excellent. The restaurant serves traditional Tunisian dishes. The food was perfect. A must to visit when in Tunisia.

The best traditional Tunisian food restaurant! It is in the old médina in a very secure location as it is next to a ministry. The food is exquisite and served in a setup that is very authentic. We even went during the month of Ramadan and they offered a traditional meal which was heavenly. A bit pricy but very much... More

Had dinner at Dar El Jeld with a party of seven. The food and the service were both excellent. It's a great place to come for a large group as there are suitable tables that allow for a degree of privacy. The ambience is great, with live music and gorgeous architecture. All in all, it was a quintessential Tunisian feast,... More

Loved this place. Food was nice and the wine was great. Not a cheap place to eat but the staff is very good.

I absolutely loved this restaurant, from the moment I walked in. The service was fabulous, providing great recommendations, perfect serving time and always with a smile and an elegant touch. As for the food, I couldn't have dreamed of a better Tunisian culinary experience. It's my first time in Tunisia, so I was tasting lots of new dishes, but each... More

Close to Medina, great Tunisian restaurant: traditional dishes presented very well. To see the central hall overlooked by small balconies. All rooms have walls with antique tiles. Service to improve.

Visiting Dar ElJeld is a perfect destination for authentic Tunisian food served in an old pasha residence to give you the experience of the old city. I would advise to go with the mixed appetizers to taste it all, followed with a main of your choice. They offer coscosi as well as many seafood places. Ideal for a business dinner... More
