A short walk from our Riad, amazing views of the ocean and fortress walls. Food was good but not outstanding. Cute little place though but would recommend more for tea than a full meal.

The restaurant is spread over a few floors, so you get your own space. Very nicely done up in blue tones, with a washroom that is considered great by Tangier's standards! Excellent service - they are able to communicate well in English here. We were shown an English menu and found the selection offered not bad. The chicken tagine was... More

Can't speak for the food. However, We turned up 2 times and this place was closed at times it should've been open for both breakfast and lunch. The other two times we were turned down because 'the kitchen was not ready' The view is stunning can't take that away from it

The service at this restaurant has been among the worst I have ever experienced. I made a reservation the day before and received confirmation, then had my hotel call to confirm the reservation, which was confirmed by the number available on TripAdvisor. When we arrived at the restaurant one of the employees approached us and told us we didn't have... More

as others here have written, the view from here is marvellous, and so it's still worth going for that, if you have lots of time and are in a very relaxed mood. The staff is slow, mirthless and cold, though, and the food very ordinary.

Love this place! A perfect place to camp out with some tea and use their reliable Wifi. The food is pretty good, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. While they don't always have the items listed on the menu, they worked as hard as they could to provide us with something to satisf our appetites. The terrace is... More

Worth it if you can get a table on the roof top. Suggest an appetizer of hummus (delicious) and a cup of tea overlooking the town. Located at the top of the kasbah, it is a pleasant place to take a rest after a lot of walking and shopping! We stopped in for lunch cause it was recommended and also... More

i suppose you pay for the amazing view and beautiful location. sadly it stops there. the staff are friendly enough but paying 30 euros for a piece of chicken, a bit of couscous and mint tea (x3) is steep. the tagine was really bland. if they want people to go back they have to do better

I have visited Salon Blue twice during my stay in Tangier. The restaurant has a great location and sea view. The food is good, but the choice is somewhat limited. If you want to sit on the rooftop terrace, you should be there early.

It was just so much smaller than I expected it to be -- and with wind, one almost feels one will be blown off the rooftop! But it's a gorgeous place to go for a sunset view.

A bit of history about Le Salon Bleu and The Kasbah Neighbourhood This quaint traditional Moroccan house is situated directly in what used to be the ancient stables of the Sultan`s Palace, and for a long while it had also served as a home for visiting British diplomats. The celebrated 17th century writer Samuel Pepys was notorious for writing endlessy in his journal under the fig tree just next to the small courtyard. Francis Bacon had a painting studio on the same street and the Rolling Stones lived just a stones throw away. The Kasbah has long inspired writers and artists of the twentieth century: Matisse, Delacroix, Kerouac, Jean Genet, William Burroughs, Paul Bowles... so we`ve opened up this small salon and restaraunt so that you may drink coffee and enjoy the ocean view while resting in their proverbial ribcages. Le Salon Bleu has been highly recommended by the international press and tour guides: New York Times, Le Monde, Liberation, Le Figaro, Lonelyplanet, Guide du Routard, Guide Michelin, Elle, Marie-Claire, L'Officiel, Vogue...
