Le Grand Comptoir is now Don José, and is an excellent Spanish restaurant. We arrived at 8:45 on a Thursday night and had our choice of seats, upstairs, downstairs, or at the bar, but by 10:00 every seat was filled. The seafood paella was very good, and we enjoyed some tapas and wine while we waited for the paella to... More

We visited this restaurant for a late lunch on a Saturday. We had some difficulty with the menu, having minimal understanding of french . But the dishes we chose were delicious, and beautifully presented.

A nice little getaway. Although the food was on the pricey end we certainly enjoyed what we ate. Also enjoyed our glass of wine.

The restaurant is beautiful and the live music was rocking the night we visited this excellent spot. The french classic cuisine is delicious.

The restaurant is quite impressive with a sweeping staircase and a good collection of modern paintings. There was also live Arabic music the night we were there which was enjoyable and not too loud. The food is average. I was satisfied with the fish I ordered others were not so pleased. It looked to me a bit overpriced for what... More

If you're out to impress in Rabat, you'd probably take your date here. Very cool, old-school atmosphere with super-friendly staff. The food is very French (and delicious) but the highlight for me was the live music on the stage. And I've love to line up for pictures on that curling staircase. Highly recommend for a splash-out.

We only ended up having drinks here. The plan was to have dinner but the place was so quiet it really put us off. Alcoholic drinks available - UK prices. Nice cocktails. Good view of the avenue upstairs. Musicians were setting up downstairs when we left but restaurant was still empty.

Had the pleasure to dine at Le Grand Conptoir a Wedensday in September; the day before Eid. Very nice staff, calm, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Menue with a good variation, soups, starters, fish, meat and desserts. A good presentation of wines from Morocco ( where some of them are really good ! ) Cool surroundings with art on he walls....
