It is hard to fault the food and service other than the detail was not quite up to expectations. Atmosphere was certainly lacking, on paper this restaurant should really work but the entire time we were there we felt we were intruding. Not only a restaurant but also a Riad and I couldn't help feeling that either the Riad guests... More

Having read the reviews we thought we give it a go. We made the mistake of getting a map out when trying to find the place, and were instantly joined by two people who escorted us to the restaurant (surprisingly one had a restaurant we could use!), admittedly we would have struggled to find it without them. The problem was... More

You need to book...we had to go back the following night. A beautiful courtyard as you enter which is not for dining - we ate in a side room which was nice and private. The atmosphere did not live up to expectations which were very high but the food was fantastic though not much choice for vegetarians compared to other... More

After three fabulous meals at PepeNero in the old Medina, we ended up making a standing reservation for once a week over our remaining next six weeks in Marrakech. As many have written, after spending a few weeks of dining in Moroccan restaurants, we couldn't imagine having one more tagine although at first, we enjoyed them. Living in a riad... More

Husband and I had a delicious birthday meal. Atmosphere was intimate, lots of other couples, beautiful place and food and wine were amazing! I'd definitely return and highly recommend to friends!

My other half and I decided to come here for dinner as a treat. We'd been backpacking so far, so this was something to look forward to! It was very easy to find as it's sign posted from the main square. The first time we dined here we had no reservation, but we arrived at about 6.30 and luckily they... More

I've been very fortunate to eat at quite a few places around the world. I've always heard of fine dining but never really thought I experienced it. Well I finally have here. From the first dish to the last I finally fully experienced fine dining and I loved it. The staff was very responsive and attentive to our needs. The... More

A massive thank you to all at Pepe Nero for providing a fantastic meal for my parent's 35th Wedding Anniversary. The food was delicious and the service throughout was faultless. The restaurant should pride itself on having given the best service we have ever received. The restaurant's decor and ambiance is just as fantastic as it is perceived in the... More

What more could you ask for in Marrakech than great food in a lovely riad with faultlessly attentive waiters? With both Moroccan and Italian menus on offer there is a good range of choice and the food was delicious. We were not ambitious enough to attempt all four courses (five if you count the amuse bouce!) but we left happy... More

Beautiful restaurant, with amazing service and delicious food. Hidden away in the backstreets but well worth investing the effort to find it.

Description
PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.
