They have both an Italian and Moroccan menu. It was a nice break for us to have Italian food one evening over a 9 day trip. We had 2 pasta dishes, both fantastic with lots of flavour! We were initially skeptical, thinking how good could Italian really be in Marrakech and they proved us wrong! It was delicious! We then... More

This place is tucked away and difficult to find but once you've found it it's worth it! I don't think I've ever been in a more stunning restaurant. Food was great, I had the salmon and it was lovey and you can also get a decent bottle of wine here which is a bonus. Prices are towards the pricey end... More

We went there on our second night in Marrakesh. A good thing to do is to go there beforehand so you know where you are going in the evening- well sign posted from the Medina. I had the vegetarian tagine which, for a bunch of vegetables, was very tasty. We also had the pigeon pastilla which is slightly sweet but... More

Locating the restaurant requires patience, when you book ask for directions. Their tiny front door disguises a wonderful full size restaurant inside. Food is delightful, we loved every dish. Very Italian indeed! Prices is slightly higher, but its oasis atmosphere is well worth it. You will loose sense of time in this "Gastronomic Tardis"

We SO wished we'd stayed here, the food, the surroundings and the staff were out of this world, particular thumbs up to Mr Spring!

Loved this place. We arrived for our reservation early (before the restaurant had even opened) but the staff were not frazzled by this and showed us to our table within five minutes of arriving. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Huge portion sizes so prepare to share! We had the tangine and saffron risotto. Both were very... More

You can definitely eat a lot better for a lot cheaper in Marrakech. My Moroccan soup wasn't anything to write home about and although the lamb tagine wasn't bad, I had far better on my travels. Nice interiors and friendly attentive service but all very overpriced for what you actually get.

We booked a table for two with a few hours notice. The restaurant is a 5-10 minute walk from the main square - look at the map on the website to find your way or follow the signs (it is hidden away). The interior is very nice and the food excellent (we had the salmon and lamb). They take cards.

Description
PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.
