A great restaurant in the old city! It can be difficult to get to however once you are inside its all worth it. Beautiful settings with a great selection of food and lovely staff.

Definitely need to book ahead. Food was lovely and plentiful. I had shoulder of lamb for main course and there was so much meat which was very tender. The surroundings of the restaurant were lovely and felt very romantic.

There are many local eateries in this city, but this place is the only place to go if you want to be sure of a good, local (Italian) meal at a fair price. The chef/owner is from Gaiole in Chianti, and the skills he acquired in that incredibly lovely town transported easily to Marrakech. The menu is varied and you... More

After struggling for days with food, this place was magical! It was about £23 a head- and worth every penny! The chicken and saffron tagine unlike most tagines in marrakech was to die for! The prawn cocktail starter was warming and the shoulder of lamb was melt in your mouth. The service was splendid and we were given lots of... More

Dear Ms. Poultry-Queen, First of all thank you for the enthusiastic expressions for Pepe Nero restaurant at the incipit of your review! With reference to your assertion that we keep that change, I want firmly deny this accusation that is totally false. If the waiter who served you kept the change as you wrote this is certainly due to a... More

I imagine this is about as posh as it gets in Marrakech. What an exquisite Riad, perfectly decorated and adorned inside. You pay top dollar here - I know Michelin starred restaurants in London (like Arbutus) that are cheaper. When you pay big bucks you want the food to match up and generally it does. But a few dishes did... More

Fantastic little oasis in the hustle and bustle of marrakech. Difficult to find as it is a little distance away from Jmaa el Fna square walking 15 minutes. But worth the walk. Interior very romantic and classicly presented lovely for a couple as we were. We ordered the roasted shoulder of lamb and it was devine. Not too expensive around... More

Can't ask for a nicer Italian restaurant in the middle of the old town in Marrakech. Spectacular Boeuf and nice wine. The homemade tagliatelle was to die for. Cheers for taking us in late and giving us a nice meal after a long drive from the desert.

definitely the best restaurant in Marrakech. The place is beautiful, the staff is very professional and friendly and the food is amazing, delicious, tasty, the best you can get, for a fair price looking to the quality of everything. It worth a visit. I recommend this place for food lovers.

The people, the setting and the food were so lovely that my husband and I were the last to leave. Not only did they go above and beyond with the service, but spent time with us after all the other tables had gone, rather than pushing us out so they could go home. The pasta was divine and my husband... More

Went here last week with my husband while visiting Marrakech, with high expectations given the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were quite disappointed. Although the setting is really beautiful, the ambience felt like that of a school cafeteria. The waiters were basically running around and bringing your food as fast as possible, to get your dinner over with as fast as... More

Description
PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.
