The restaurant in Riad Omar is a little hard to find from the street, as the Riad itself does not have a large presence. It definitely is a place where tour guides take tourists, and for good reasons. It's clean, the food is well prepared, the portions are generous, and it's relatively inexpensive. Withal, the food is bland and the... More

We had lunch here after a guided tour of the medina and Souks. After entering a narrow dark passage we off a busy street sandwich next to another restaurant and bureau exchange we climbed 3 flights of stairs onto a fantastic roof terrace. The view is out toward the mosque next to the mains square. The food was very generous... More

Clean, honest and great location. You will not need many cabs, it's right by bus stops including the one from the the airport so you will need minimum cabs. All eateries are in vicinity.

Had dinner here on our last night at Marrakech with my climbing friends. Right in the centre of town , lovely in side & warm welcome. Had a mixture of starters & bread to start . Chicken & lamb for main course with cuscus , all hot , tasty , well cooked & presented. Got there by 2100 , seems... More

Food was not so amazing, flat price 180 for the menu, we had to wait an eternity to get served. This place was advised by a local whom we thought was giving us some good tips, but I am guessing Riad Omar is paying taxi drivers around the area to say this is a great restaurant...

We ate here on our first proper evening out in Marrakech following the recommendation of our unofficial tour guide, the lovely Hassan. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. We were served mainly by the delightful Kassim, who always wore a genuine smile (as oppose to a forced one for the customers). There's an option to... More

We were taken to Riad Omar on a whim when we were discouraged from entering another restaurant. And it was the best decision we ever made! We weren't very hungry but wanted to eat out before we headed back to our hotel. They have a set menu of 180dh per person. We cheekily asked if we could just have the... More

All the guides bring their customers here - overpriced and mediocre food. Just avoid this place - I'm sure the guides are getting kickbacks. It is 180 dh flat rate and isn't worth more than 80!

Funny story, after a bit of shopping I asked one of the merchants where to eat and he send me with someone who would show me a good place, and we ended up at Riad Omar, the next day i asked another guy the same question this time at the other end of the medina so he "dragged" :-) all... More

Read the last three reviews and agree with all positive remarks. Three of us were there late November and half the guests were locals or other Arabic speakers which I think is a good sign. Ordered and paid for two set menues and one main dish only but received three full menues anyway. Our staff was quick, helpful and very... More
