We ended up dining here twice during our six-night stay in Fez, and that alone testifies to our positive reaction. The food itself was worthy of four stars, not five, though there were excellent features. We especially liked the Moroccan salads and fish pastilla on Night 1; the mushroom-stuffed chicken was good but not special. Both main courses were just... More

We ate here tonight. The food was good but certainly does not merit the rave reviews we have read. The prices are high for Fes. Great first course with duck and cabbage salad but main of brochettes with veal was a major let down. Dessert of baked mango is wonderful. Staff over stretched which means delay in getting served. At... More

The food and service is superb! The garden is lovely and filled with singing birds. I also stayed here for 4 nights and the room was lovely and very comfortable on top floor with its own balcony over looking the garden.

Fez Cafe is very lovely with an amazing garden that you walk through to get to the restaurant. You can sit outside (with heat lamps if needed) or inside the adorably decorated house. The walls are a rich terra-cotta color with quaint French quotes and paintings. The food is very good. More French inspired Moroccan. Service is gentle and unassuming.... More

Charming garden setting, great food. We shared an excellent seasoned dorado, and I'm not even that much of a fish fan. We then indulged in two desserts.

The location of thia cafe-restaurant is in a lovely garden. I'd immagine a great location for coffe...the dinner was of good quality however there were just a few dishes in the menu. Defnetely too expensive compared with the rest of fez and morocco.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful garden with citrus fruit trees and chirpy sparrows. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. And it's truly surprising to find such a place in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Medina. The restaurant is easy to locate as it's sign posted all the way from the Main Street. Although... The Fez Café is a charming Moroccan bistro set at the edge of our vast garden and topped by an immense rooftop terrace - perfect for a dinner under the stars. Under the careful guidance of Michel Biehn himself, a Provencal food connoisseur with three award-winning cook books to his name, our chef at the Fez Cafe crafts a market-fresh menu every day which draws its flavours from the Morocan tradition, the East, and the home-grown organic vegetables from our own garden. We only use fresh seasonal ingredients. Our bar and Foosball table help make it a fun Medina meeting place. Open everyday for lunch, and dinner. Michel Biehn is the author of several award-winning cookbooks published in France, Europe and the United States. For a few hours or a few days, Michel Biehn, aided by his wonderful Chef Hicham, the head chef of the FEZ CAFE, will be happy to share with their guests, their oriental recipies and secrets of Moroccan cuisine. The cooking class starts by shopping on the market with Si Mohamed, followed by the actual cooking of the selected recipies with both Michel and Hicham. Then, it will be time to enjoy the prepared meal. Price:80 € per person.
