Too good fame amongst foreigners for what you get. When we arrived for dinner, we were coldly received and said to wait outside, and the guy left quickly. After catching him again, we were told 1/2 h. left. After that time, lamb tajines were OK, but nothing special. With beers and teas, 50+ EUR per person; too much for being... More

They break traditions because they serve couscous every night, a very good cause if you ask me. The place is beautiful and you immediately feel immersed in the Moroccan culture. The food is really good and although I believe it has been altered a bit to better suit the taste buds of all visitors, it is still very authentic and... More

Best restaurant we had in Morocco so far. The food was perfect, waiters very nice and the decor of the restaurant is amazing. It's not cheap and probably by now mainly catering foreigners but still feels very authentic and keeps very high standards on the food. Would love to come back!

Al Mounia serves very good and authentic Moroccan food, the usual fare such as tajines and couscous. I had the lamb tajine with prunes and it was melt in your mouth tender. Just superb. Service is a bit rushed, particularly at the beginning when they want to take your order ASAP, but afterwards it's fine and we felt less pressured.... More

Spent 2 nights in Casablanca 1 week apart. The first night I ate here and the food and service (and wine) were memorable. Upon my return to Casa, after having spent 6 days throughout Morocco, I returned to Al Mounia. I could have gone to more touristy spots but I had to try something different at the same restaurant. Why... More

We went there for dinne. We got the lamb with apricots and pigeon. Both were really great. Also had the pastela with milk and tea. The design and decorations of the restaurant was amazing. Waiters were very nice.

According to our waiter Al Mounia is the oldest Moroccan restaurant in the country. The old Casablanca villa was built a long time ago by a French architecture to be his home and office before it got converted to a restaurant. I can’t remember if our waiter told me that the house was built in 1956 or it was converted... More

Have eaten here alone and with student groups, and it is always excellent! My students loved the decor, and thought the food was exceptional. A little pricey for Morocco, maybe, but certainly worth it!

I ate at this restaurant this evening. The decor of the restaurant was lovely. Beautiful handiwork and lovely seating areas. The outside terrace was closed because it was raining but looked like in nice weather that this would be the place to sit. My only issue with inside decor is the lighting was way too bright. If they could just... More

Traditional Moroccon cuisine, try couscous with tagine lamb with almonds. Tapas are also good. Prices: Tagine 180 dirham, couscous 120 dirham, tea 20 dirham, chicken 160 dirham.
