This is a Great Buffet with a nice variety of soups salads pizzas and meat and potatoes. The price is very fair. The atmosphere is great. And the wait staff is fantastic. I will continue to eat there.

A Greek restaurant in Iowa? Well, yes. We stay in Ankeny several times a year. We usually eat at one of the Chinese restaurants in town. This time we decided to try Yanni's. Good gamble! Food was authentic Mediterranean, well-prepared and tasty. Reasonable prices in a unique setting.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Ankeny. The décor is so intimate and inviting. The food is exceptional; both Italian and Greek. The $10.00 menu is amazing. The wait staff is very friendly and the service is speedy.
Had a big party planned, about 15 people and reservations made over a month in advance. I called the day of to reaffirm everything. When we arrived, they acted like they didn’t know we were coming and it took a while to get seated, once seated it took over 20 minutes before anyone even came by the table and then... More
This is one of those places where you can go and just relax. The saganaki quickly arrived at our table, and who doesn't enjoy a good "Opah!" The dolmades were prepared to order and tasted delicious. The waiter even made sure that one of my sons received a "special pizza" that was pineapple. He loved that! The stuffed veal was... More
on saturday last, my wife and i went with our daughter and her family of four for dinner. an eclectic menu of greek and italian food. each was able to choose his or her favorite. the salads were fresh. the house dressing, parmesan cream, delicious. service was very very good. price exceedingly reasonable. for some reason it shares a building... We ate here in July, 2016. Pulling up to Yanni's is a bit disconcerting since it shares a building with a Dairy Queen. You may be tempted to keep driving by, but give this place a chance. You will be pleasantly surprised. This Greek themed restaurant has earned high marks from the local food critics and after eating there, I... More
This is a relocated restaurant as it was formerly in West Des Moines. Some of the furniture is transplanted and so is the dust. With a little more management this could be a nice location. The food is decent but it seemed to be out of a food service pan and not freshly made. Which is really not the way... More
It went downhill from there! Calamari seems to have come from a grocery store. Dinner salads awful, spanakopita ok if eaten with calamari sauce, otherwise bland. Steak diane overcooked. Women's bathroom out of order, so had to use men's which was dirty. What could go wrong with Tiramisu I thought? It was served frozen! Couldn't put fork into it. Told... More
We like Yannis for consistently excellent soup, pasta, bread knots, salad with fresh vegetables, and homemade dressing. The beef and chicken are awesome. Tirimusu is divine. Service is impeccable and friendly. Date lunch or Sunday brunch. Order steak deburgo off the menu...yummy. flaming appetizer or homemade onion rings. You cannot go wrong.
