I was initially disappointed to find that the menu had changed as they used to have my favorite dish here that I always ordered on my visit to LaCeiba. It is a convenient restaurant being right next door to our Hotel (Quinta Inn). Despite the change, and now more of a local choice of foods, it was very good. I was not disappointed and would go again.

Service is good, food has a good taste, wonderful.... but ... That was a kind of raining night, it was flood it almost everywhere, the musicians stoped it to move the instruments so the building is poor a lot of leaks when rains.

You can have dinner with friends or have some drinks during the night. It's not only a restaurant because at night it change in a very populair bar/disco. So be aware at what time you go for dinner or for drinks.

The food was absolutely awful. The steak was so tough and inedible. The waiter doubled as a bartender and was slow and inattentive. They had security personnel for only around 20 guests. The only thing that they could have possibly been guarding was the band that was awful and too loud. The street in front of the restaurant was flooded (not the restaurant's fault), and we had to wade through water to leave.
I would never return!

Is a very good restaurant in La Ceiba, is one of the traditional of the city and I recommend for anyone who goes to La Ceiba.

Great service from Cindy Garcia, the food was amazing had the whole snapper, and the bar had outstanding drinks. Overall had a great experience.

I took my mother to this restaurant was very disappointed the service was very very poor the food was OK. You are force the pay for service, Day added to your bill but yet you do not get service. you have to get-up-and-go order your drinks because the server was never available I would not recommend anyone unless they change their policy and trained management on customer service.

This restaurant is an absolute gem! They have some of the best dishes in La Ceiba. Being from New Orleans, Louisiana; we are seafood lovers and La Palapa serves the best seafood soup along with some other wonderful dishes. If you are in the mood for a refreshing drink, I recommend the wonderful selection of Caribbean drinks. This establishment have a wonderful staff who is very attentive, wonderful seating, and music.

I went to dinner with my family at 7pm (three kids under the age of 10) and at 9pm they had a live show with guys dressed with wigs and little to none clothing, I do not understand how a place ranked as RESTAURANT # 5 out of almost 60 in La Ceiba would have a show like this with all the families that were there at least I would have appretiated the warning as we walked in. Food was OK took a long time to get (at least an hour and it wasn’t even packed) priced too high for what you get. I would think twice about coming back!

This is our second time coming to La ceiba and eating here. The food is just amazing, the moment you start eating its like a burst of flavors exploding in your mouth delicious 😋. The marinera and conch soup are my favorites out of the whole menu. The staff its very friendly and attentive to all your needs. The ambiance its great specially if you visit during night time since from time to time they have live bands playing while you enjoy your meal. I love this place and I recommended to all you won't be dissapointed.

We came with friends and enjoyed a very nice lunch. Had the beef in sauce over curtido and tajadas. The tajadas soaked in the sauce made it especially yummy. And our server was really nice.

We loved the fish soup and the fried fish. The anafre was also good, Service is friendly and quick. Decor is OK, too bad for the ever-present TV screens everywhere, but this is just because I don't like watching TV while eating.

This restaurant is located just across the street from the Quinta Real Hotel. I ordered the grilled shrimp and came back the next night to order the same thing. The potions are a little awkward. The dish was just a little too small to share but also a lot of food for one person to eat alone. Good service and our waiters both times didn’t speak English (which is fine but just giving you a heads up). There was a show each night we went to La Palapa! One night was a drag show and the other was just a band. My white husband and his Honduran friend both got patted down at the door. I saw a review on here that it is only black men, but that wasn’t my experience.

The restaurants security only monitors and “pats down” Black Men. It’s unfortunate to report this, but on two occasions dressed professionally then casually, I was subject to search when white and Latin colleagues were not. Outright prejudice like that was embarrassing. This is obviously an issue with management and local perception. I am a black foreigner and even in my own country where there exists strained relations between groups, I’ve never had this experience. I had to come down to La Ceiba to experience such disappointing behavior.
