Seriously hit the spot! Great schnitzel and chips along with best beer I've had in Central America. The Atmosphere is very German pub, which again, is perfect.

In my two weeks in central america, I didn't think I was going to find quality beer. I was right until I dropped into Sol de Copan. There are rotating beers brewed in house by Thomas, who is from Bavaria and definitely knows beer and sausage. The beer rivaled what I had during Oktoberfest in Munich. Great food, great company,... Love dropping in to visit Thomas, the owner. From Germany, is a brew master and brews excellent beer. My wife is not a beer lover, but she enjoying a good glass of wine. We have also eaten dinner there a few times. Excellent Food! Lots of tourist visitors to chat with. Would not hesitate to drop in again for a... More

THe menu is limited but the food very good. If you are in Copan Ruinas for several days, this should be one of your restaurants.

Really enjoyed this place. After traveling in Central America and tolerating salva vida and port royal for a month it was so refreshing to enjoy the beer here. I don't normally like hefeweizen but the one he makes is delicious and light. I also really liked the food, I had an awesome schnitzel here that rivaled what you can get... More

This was really a nice little gem we discovered in Copan. Great German beers (brewn the traditional way), as well as German food (as German as it gets with Honduran ingredients). Freshly poured beers come at 75L (about 3.5$) while traditional food starts at 130L (about 5.5$). The owner is a great guy, and if you're lucky he'll tell you... More

This is a super friendly place. Tiny but the food and atmosphere makes it amazing. It was a good thing that there was only a small selection on the menu, since we had a hard time making up our mind. We had 4 different meals and every one was delicious. Highly recommended!

From the very friendly German owner, to the homemade beer, this place is worth a visit for a refreshment or german style food dinner after going to the mayan ruins, ecological parks, coffee farms, birds sanctuarys, springs or whatever kept you bussy during the day. It is a very basic decorated place but somehow with special coziness you would have... More

Traditional German food - so not very Honduran, but ithe weather was cool and wet the evening when we visited so some excellent beer brewed by the owner and a hearty German meal was just the ticket.

The beer really is excellent. Don't expect an extensive range of beers: this is a microbrew in a small town. The owner is a friendly and welcoming guy who is happy to chat. The delicious sausage is made in-house. The short menu is all freshly made and nicely served.
