I was expecting a little better dinner at this place. No rice only baked potato and I'm not particularly fond of potatoes. Plus we are in the Caribbean aren't we supposed to have rice. Garlic fish was over salted and the tempura shrimp was over fried. The staff was training so they weren't sure what to do and if you... More

we did not like anything we ate. Hamburgers are different and not worth spending your $ on. The shrimp tacos things were soggy. The limonada was the only good thing. They talk about the view. It was ok but not the best. Much better view the restaurant in Villa Caribe. Service was terrible. It is a train restaurant so we... More

Ok food but nothing too exciting. I had a good curry with very little chicken. Clearly a place with a lack of professional service staff

We were in a hurry to catch the boat so we spotted Buga Mama and went in. We were waiting a little longer than the normal time for our food to come but it was definitely one of the nicest breakfasts we've had in Guatemala. We ordered more coffee because it was so good. The staff all seem quite young... More

We went there for a drink. It was not busy but we were unable to order anything. So we were not impressed with the service.

Our expectations of the food were quite high after reading the reviews. The location is very nice, right by the water. But the food left a lot to be desired. We ordered the local coconut milk based seafood and fish stew called Tapado. There was no flavour as such, seemed like plain coconut milk based broth. The seafood and fish... More

We went to this restaurant to try the tapado, the local fish soup/stew. I didn't fancy it and had Pad Thai instead. My mistake. It was like something I would knock up for lunch on a Monday. My friends, however, quite enjoyed the tapado, that had an entire locally caught fish in it. The setting is nice, with a nice... More

This was our last dinner in Guatemala. Since we were on the ocean I had a typical dish for the area. Can't remember the name but it was seafood in a coconut broth. While a bit watery it was tasty. The ambiance was more casual, the service was good.

We went here several times during our stay in Livingston. Staff (apparently students of the tourism school) is amazing and so is the food. Indeed, we had to wait for our food quite some time each visit but it was definitely worth it. I'd especially recommend the fajitas de res, Thai soups and banana pancakes.

A very spacious restaurant, clean and the wait staff was very kind. I was getting a bit antsy because the food took a while to be served but once I took my first bite, I knew it was worth every second I waited. I had the filet of robalo wrapped in plantain leaf served with vegetables and the fish was... More
