I totally enjoyed my meal with friends here, a quiet atmosphere makes it a great place to meet up with friends, share a meal and a great time together. I enjoyed both my dinner and the conversation here in this lovely restaurant.

This place is in a peacful and beautiful setting, the waitress was very nice and the food was delicious! The gyozas we tried here might be the best we've ever had and the edamame was perfect (cooked right with a perfect amount of salt). The miso soup was also amazing, instead of tofu it had little fried tempura pieces and... More

If you've had your fill of the local cuisine and want something more Oriental, you won't go wrong with the Japanese restaurant, Hana. Early signs were a little ominous as the place was empty and indeed proved to be throughout our visit. We needn't have been worried. The restaurant is located around a small garden, well away from the street.... More

When I saw that there's Japanese food in Pana, I hesitated. No way?!? Can Japanese food in Guatemala actually be good??? The answer is YES! Wow. My husband and I tried a little of everything, yakisoba noodles, udon noodle soup (homemade noodles, btw!), veggie sushi rolls, a couple apps, miso soup, and the tuna rice bowl (I forgot the name... We thoroughly enjoyed our Japanese dinner at Restaurante Hana. We were well taken care of by the staff, which included the owner herself. The food was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We sampled several dishes and enjoyed each one. If you're looking for a quiet and romantic dinner, Restaurante Hana is a great spot to check out in Pana. Would... More

This beautiful restaurant is noted for its food as well as being an art gallery. The works that decorate the wall provides a history of the area in photos and paintings. I think I spent as much time admiring the artwork as I did enjoying my sushi. This is a quite place to meet friends and share an evening.

I was a bit skeptical of going for sushi and udong noodle soup in the heart of Guatemala but was thoroughly glad I did! I went with a group of 7 and we ordered just about everything on the menu. We shared and enjoyed everything, especially the Nigiri and Sashimi. The dessert of Helado Tempura (fried ice cream) with fruit... More

My wife and I have eaten here several times now and we love it. As a traveler to Japan, I can definitely commend the chef and staff for delivering a consistently enjoyable experience. The setting is a beautiful sanctuary to enhance the experience.

Description
Experience traditional Japanese dining in a beautiful, authentic Japanese restaurant located inside the historic Casa Cakchiquel in Panajachel Guatemala. Restaurante Hana offers the rich traditions of Japanese home cooking with Chef Mihoko Azumi. Like we do in Japan, we cook with the seasons, and savor the peak flavor of ingredients. We adhere to the fundamentals of Japanese cooking: respecting the ingredients and their natural flavors, cooking in the moment, and not doing too much. Restaurante Hana presents a wide range of typical Japanese dishes including sushi, sashimi, tempura and all manner of lesser known dishes from the East, both large full dishes and smaller plates for sharing as well as daily specials. Restaurante Hana offers a welcoming multicultural family style dining setting for travelers as well as local customers. We look forward to serving you.
