We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, which included several meals at this restaurant. The menu is solid, with a variety of choices, including great ceviche, burritos, chicken, fish, and other selections. The restaurant has an outdoor patio bar serving beer, wine, rum drinks, and several higher end spirits for a thirsty traveler. The view is wonderful. You can sit on... More

Great food, great service, great location. Our room had a coffee maker but it was nice to also have self-serve coffee and juice at the restaurant.

This is where you change over from your bus tour for the Lamanai Mayan Ruins and Riverboat cruise from the bus to the boat. It's a bar/restaurant/gift shop. The food is ok, if you haven't tried rice made from coconut milk then this is a good chance for you. Otherwise grab a cerveza and cool off while waiting for your... More

This restaurant is right on the New River. The setting is peaceful and quiet. Access is from a small road in the center of town...you will have to ask a local. The food was good and the beer was cold.

We ate here for dinner twice while in Orange Walk as we were staying in the cabins. The first night was excellent, everything was freshly prepared and delicious. The second night everything was good, but a little too salty. I think it was just a different cook. The prices were good and the portions were generous.

We stayed in one of the cottages at the retreat. It was basic but clean and comfortable. The folks at the retreat also organised our day trip to Lamanai which went very well - picked up from in front of the hotel. We also ate at the restaurant. The food was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful.

On our tour of the Lamanai Mayan ruins, we were given a delightful picnic in an open Tiki-like building within the park. The food was very good and we all enjoyed everything.

and always leave inspired by the birdlife and occasional crocodile. It's a great place to enjoy a river side table with a Belikin or delicious rum punch and binoculars. Bring some bug juice. We have never stayed at the cabanas which look rustic and inviting.

We thought this was such a nice restaurant over the water where we could watch the sunset, have a few drinks then a nice dinner. It was impossible to get service as the waiter had a table of friends he would have rather been with. The only 'wine' was some awful cashew home made stuff. Fish filet dinner was extremely... More
