We ended up here on Christmas Eve after having just flown in, not really realizing it was not a "local food" type of place. Nevertheless, they offered to make us some local food, and it was delicious! They made me escabeche soup (onions and spices and chicken), and my husband rice and beans and chicken (little did we know we... More

Went here for some spicy food and it seemed like a good place to try. Unfortunately, I don't think we caught them on a good night. The wait was very long for both drinks and food (with us and those around us). We also had a spicy dish come out with no spiciness detected (tasted fine otherwise, but not what... More

Serendib is a name of Sri Lanka. The restaurant was apparently previously owned by a Sri Lankan. Not too much of the Ceylon flavors, but there are some dishes with a nod to south Asian flavors.. such as the roti and pappadam. It is a great place to hang out and have a few beers in the evening. All belikin varietals... More

Great food (we had the different fish and chicken curries) and extremely friendly service! Our waiter noticed we liked hot sauce and gave us a few versions of his own hot sauce to try. We also met the owner's son who is really sweet and talked to us about his hopes for going to college and being an architect. Was... More

Interesting family run bar restaurant, all the staff were very helpful and attentive, took a seat at the bar till a table was free, so tried one of their interesting mixed drink and locally brewed Guinness, which tasted much better than its American cousin. Once at our table we ordered the house shrimp cocktail, not what we expected but still... More

Many of the locals said I should try this place, but I was very disappointed. The waiter was not friendly like many of the other shops and restaurants I visited. The food was OK, but felt a bit icky afterwards. I was bummed, as I had heard such good things.

I stayed in the next door hotel, so Serendib was the first place i ate, on Thanksgiving and we loved it. So much that we kept going back everyday. The food is amazing and the service is great!

This was our first stop when we pulled into San Ignacio. The delicious aroma as we walked by is what pulled us inside. The food was delicious. Their homemade hot sauce was deliciously spicy. Reasonable prices. Good drinks. Great choice.

Indoor/Outdoor spot in the main drag of San Ignacio's tiny tourist area, surrounded by many other similar bars/restaurants. Limited menu of mainly American standards (burgers, pizza, pasta. beer) but some local dishes to try. Shabby place, but no worse than any other of their neighbours and relatively inexpensive. The chicken curry comes with bone in!

Right next to the mall and by Polly? Pizza restaurant. I am Indian and not a huge fan of Indian food -- but randomly this was the BEST SOUTH INDIAN food I have ever eaten!!
