We were told this was the 'real thing' - traditional Belizian food. Although it was OK, it was not exciting or very filling. It just seem like standard food at a reasonable price.

We were there soon after it reopened following a fire. It was hard to find it as not many people knew where it was. Luckily, we were walking around so we found it anyway. The food was fabulous. we had a lobtser special - it was in season and it was extremely fresh,

I did not feel super hungry but the enchiladas were so good it was easy to finish. My husband had the beef fajita and loved it.

We visited for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Like many restaurants in Belize, it was freshly prepared and promptly served. Eating out on the patio was enjoyable. They only accept cash. Be aware that the location on TripAdvisor app as of this writing is incorrect. We were only able to find the restaurant by... More

Recommended by our Lodge for real local food and they were right! Very busy on a Saturday for lunch but we were seated immediately by friendly host. The gentleman next to us was eating an amazing looking fish which he said was excellent so we ordered & split the whole red snapper which came with red beans & rice, mixed... More

Place looks a little sketch from the outside, but the food is wonderful and the staff are friendly. We spent a lot of time wandering around San Ignacio looking for food, and quite honestly, the cuisine in Belize can be a little suspect. This place is not. Stop searching for tacos and eating weird burritos with lettuce and come here... More

Stewed chicken with rice and beans for $3.50US! The chicken was tender and the rice and beans were great too. They also serve a little bowl of homemade salsa on the side. For restaurants in San Ignacio, this place wins for price on both food and drinks, and you still get great quality. Only downside: they were out of beef,... More

Friendly staff, delicious stew beef and chicken at excellent prices (BZ $8 and $7 respectively), delicious fresh juices (BZ $3) and ice cold beers (BZ $3.50), good size portions. Must visit for anyone wanting to try proper Belizean food.

I have been to this local restaurant a few times and every time I'm impressed with their meals. Very warm and friendly staff, clean atmosphere. Recommended to all ages and to locals and visitors.. it's right in the middle of downtown.

My wife and I ate dinner here last week at the recommendation of a local. Cenaida's was superb. The food (we both got stewed chicken plate with beans and rice) was great, and the fresh fruit juice was amazing. Note that this restaurant has moved a block over from where it used to be. We had to ask a local... More
