AUTHENTISCH, LECKER, GEMÜTLICH! The food here is authentic and very tasty! A few of the employees speak German, but they're all very friendly and helpful. Daily specials add to the already plentiful variety of offerings here. Full bar if you want drinks, but they have Spezi - a classic German favorite (cola and orange soda mixed), so that's my choice!... More

We stopped by due to the relative rarity of finding good German restaurants. I had the pork jager schnitzel with goulash, spatzle and gravy and red cabbage. Did not really care for the red cabbage, but the meat, spatzle, and goulash soup were good. My husband had the bratwurst plate and both types tasted bland or smelled very strange, over... More

Love to come here with my German American friend. We always get the same thing - we get the Schnitzel because it is so good and where else in Denver could we find it so good The service is always top notch and we enjoy the atmosphere and the great Schnitzel! Also they have a little shop attached for those... More

OMG! When my son suggested Helga's I was hesitant as I had a grandmother who cooked me authentic German food, plus I lived in Germany for three years! What a treat this truly was. The radish salad was to die for ( I ordered some to go!). The schnitzel divine. The kroketten just as remembered. The service couldn't have been... More

Having lived in Germany for a few years I always look forward to going to a German restaurant since they can be hard to find. We go to Helga's regularly and the bratwurst and wiener schnitzel are both very good, as is their beet salad and goulash soup. Great German draft beer is always a must, and they offer four... More

A Reuben is one of my favorite sandwiches and this is really the BEST I've had in Colorado. I didn't ask their secret, but I wonder if it's in the sauerkraut (?), the cheese or ??. It's not an "over the top" presentation where it's so big you can't get your mouth round it, but it's a good size and... More

The food is nothing to write home about, but not horrible. I do love their giant pretzels. I like the beers as well, especially the boot of beer. Pretty crazy way to have a giant beer. I would & will go back, it is just not my first choice.

I had the Rahm schnitzel and my wife had the seasonal lamb dumplings and they were both amazing. Great atmosphere and wonderful German beers on tap.

Authentic, fresh, tasty German cuisine with delicious beer. Friendly and accommodating wait staff and a fun albeit pricey little German "laden" to purchase some speciality items.

It's hard to find German food - let alone good German food - but if you're in the Aurora area, stop at Helga's and you won't be disappointed. We went because it was close to was within walking distance of our hotel, but in the future, I'd drive to get there. The staff are very friendly and efficient - we... More
