First time visit. Fish was tasty 3-4 oz per taco. Seemed a bit over priced as compared to taco restaurants. Service was good and the staff friendly. Ten dollars for 2 fish tacos, some chips and refried beans.

The fish tacos were excellent. Our group also ordered burritos and quesadillas that were good. I really liked the salsa bar.

This is now my Tuesday night stop. 1.50 original fish taco's after 2:30 on Tuesday. Normally they are 2.69. I was in and out in about 10 mins with my dinner in hand and ready to head home for some serious relaxation. The fish is crispy and the sauce they put on standard isn't over powering. I added a bit... More

I had an order of sea bass tacos with chips and refried beans. The tacos were excellent. The chips and salsa bar were also great. The beans were cold and lacking flavor. The staff was pretty friendly but the place looked like a bomb went off in it. It was later in the evening so maybe that is why but... More

Happiness! AND did I mention fresh? I love the salsa bar. The only reason I don't give it five stars is... More

Saw an article on Yahoo saying this place is currently beating out Chipotle on being better and better for you. Thought I should check it out. Really glad I did. My friends and I tried three different plates and we all fell in love with this place. Service was very nice and fast. They could tell us about all of... More

I've sent this feedback to the headquarters and wanted to share my not so pleasant experience at my reacent visit of my "all time" favorite restaurant. I remember my first visit to Rubio’s in your Pacific Beach restaurant in about 1986, when I tried my first fish taco/fish burrito combo. It was called the #5 back then. Long it has... More

The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
