We had a nice meal, but we were very disappointed in the service. The prices are a little high not to have good service. The server barely spoke to us, and there were very few patrons. I was surprise. My husband and I had nice entree, and an appetizer, no alcohol and the bill was close to $80. I am... More

We recently visited Aspen for the first time, and since it was the off season, there were fewer choices for dinner. We also have younger kids, so it was important to find a family friendly place that also had football on TV. Red Onion delivered on all accounts. They made sure we had a table so we could watch our... More

OK place to eat. Had a cheeseburger with a side salad. The salad was large and the burger good. A little pricey though. Service was good.

Had a great late lunch here and the food was delicious. It's average value, which makes it good value for Aspen! The service was generally OK, but I felt we were being rushed - I still had my mouth full when the place was whisked away and I was asked if I wanted to order dessert! Otherwise a good meal,... We stumbled upon the Red Onion while downtown and we were surprised how good the food, service, and atmosphere was in basically a bar. We would recommend the Red Onion, if anything, the ambiance of this Aspen hangout,.....good food and beer was just a plus.

Simple food here with great flavor and fantastic service! I had the black bean burger and mashed potatoes...both so flavorful. My boyfriend had a cheeseburger and fries. He said the cheeseburger was perfect and I will attest, his fries were excellent. Nice, low-key atmosphere to have a casual dinner, a couple of drinks and watch a ball game. The bar... More

Mellow place to grab a drink in the evening. Never been super impressed with dinner, but the crowd is good and great way to spend an hour after skiing or biking.

We were worried about the high price of restaurants in Aspen and were happily surprised to discover reasonable prices at the Red Onion. Original menu with very good sandwiches and killer french fries. I liked the sweet potato fries, and the others and my party could not stop eating the spicy fries. We had planned to ask for a box... The Bar at the Red Onion looks exactly like it did in 1892! You can spend $6 on Colorado draft beers or $2 on PBR drafts (off season price, normally $3). I had the wings for 6 for $6 and they were great, celery and carrots with blue cheese/ranch included. 3 big screens in main bar for sports and a... More

My wife and I ate lunch here. We both had sandwiches, which were very good, and a coke. The service was good. The Red Onion is the oldest restaurant in Aspen, so that is cool. The biggest problem I have with this restaurant is the same as I have with most of Aspen....incredibly overpriced. The two sandwiches and drinks cost... More
