This place was very popular and deservedly so but made conversations difficult. We had requested warm sake and had trouble getting it. The food was very good but not great.
We decided to try Kenichi and we were a bit disappointed in the restaurant . Overall it was clean and service acceptable but we were hoping for a memorable experience and instead everything was average... I wouldn’t visit again given Aspen has many other restaurants...More
Amazing place to have lunch or dinner, the service was sublime including the Chefs and the servers, the Sommellier came to our table to talk about the Wines, me like a Professional Sommellier from the Italian Association chose the best wine of the menu, a...More
Yes the first thing you need to do before you go to Aspen is book here, twice for your stay! The first night we ate here and the place was totally packed. Fortunately I had booked on Open table so we got in effortlessly. The...More

Have been eating at Kenichi every time I visit Aspen. Been pretty consistent over the last 10 years. Other Aspen restaurants can be patchy but we always enjoy the food and service here. Love the firecracker shrimp.

After a bit of a bump through reservations we had a great meal at Kenichi. Highlights included the tempura lobster, miso cod and duck dishes. But save room for the desserts - beautiful looking and amazing flavours.
Very packed restaurant and the bar area. Fun and superb selection of traditional and new Japanese plates. Pricey, but worth the visit.
