This is the "hidden gem" at the St Regis, now called "The Portal @ TQD". We ate dinner there twice. Leslie was our gracious host both times, making us feel completely at home. The lamb chops were some of the best I have ever had and my wife loved her sea bass. Joseph and Anna Rita served us superbly!

I am not one for hotel restaurants, but the food here was extraordinarily good and the service wonderful. Our waitress quickly sized up our party which consisted partly of weary travelers from a different time zone (including a young boy) and made sure to bring out the kids plate and an antipasto plate prestissimo. Among the appetizers, the Hamachi Ceviche... More

Oh how we expected better! For goodness sake, this is the St. Regis Aspen and we got Denny's. Literally, it was no different than a Denny's. The dishes (some) looked attractively served, but were nothing short of the everyday, mundane morning starters that could have been made at home. Some of the complaints we had at our table were the... More

We had breakfast here during our stay at The St. Regis and the food really was not that great. They served us really burnt hasbrowns, brought new ones after we finished the rest of our breakfast and failed to give us forks! Just not what I excpected at The St. Regis....loved our stay and the hotel was great, but breakfast... More

We stayed at the St. Regis and had complimentary breakfast at this restaurant. The dining area is really busy in the morning so be prepared for a long breakfast, which is nice when you're on vacation. The first day I had a breakfast burrito and my wife had the eggs benedict. My burrito was a little too neatly done as... More

Erica, the newish sommelier at the St Regis, created a wine-tasting program this summer. She is absolutely fantastic----extremely knowledgeable, charismatic, a great presenter. Every week she features new wines around a new theme. We not only learned a lot and had great fun, but it has made us real converts to the dining experience at the St Regis. She is... More

My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here on four consecutive mornings. The food was excellent, from the omelets to the yogurt compotes, to the freshly sliced fruit to the coffee

I guess we should have known when we arrived for a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night in March and the restaurant was empty. It was a case of"last clear chance." Unfortunately, we didn't heed the warning. This restaurant is decorated like your grandmother's country club. The decorating is a strange melange of French, contemporary, and Victorian. The service was... More

This is what one expects in Aspen. New twists on old things, layered tastes, and a sommelier who can help the large wine list. No, the new twists and not always great, but in general at least interesting. Priced fairly, but like lost Aspen places the wine list starts high and goes up quickly from there.
