Auburn Alehouse always delivers on great IPA, nice wine selection, and excellent food. The atmosphere is a bit noisy but super friendly and the staff is the peak of friendly, fun and professional!

We were here for a wedding rehearsal dinner, and so I didn't have high expectations for service. We ate in the patio (much quieter) and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was attentive (especially for a hopping Friday night); the wait for beverages (and samples)...More

Been here twice. Nothing like a nice meal after a vigorous hike in the area. We brought our friends this time and had the rueben sandwich, fish & chips, fish tacos, and the jalapeno popper burger (delicious and would get again!) Place is always busy,...More

Loved the atmosphere at this restaurant. Loved the bar. Beer was very tasty! Even the outdoor eating area was clean and they kept us as cool as you could be in 100 degree weather.

Love the food. Love the beer, especially the flights. Obviously LOTS of folks LOVE it here cuz it's always busy, and it's packed at peak times (mealtimes) and weekends. The enthusiasm makes it LOUD, alot of the time. But the vibe is great, the decor...More

Description
Brian & Lisa Ford opened Auburn Alehouse Brewery & Restaurant in 2007 in the iconic Shanghai Restaurant, embracing the building's character and colorful history in the heart of Historic Auburn. While enjoying their full bistro menu, patrons can often see Brian & his brewers making world-class beer in small batches, using only the finest malted barley and American-grown hops. With a collection of prestigious awards hanging on the wall it's easy to see why the SacBee recently said Auburn Alehouse is one of the region's premier craft breweries. Favorites include the Gold Digger IPA (CA State Fair Gold Medal Winner), Gold Country Pilsner (GABF Gold Medal Winner), Hop Donkey (GABF Silver Medal Winner) and PU240 IPA! Lunch and Dinner are served every day, while our Brunch menu is served on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-noon. Don't forget we have a dog friendly patio!
