Great food, very busy, closes between 3-5pm. If they hadn't closed at that tie I would have gone again during my stay.

About every two to three months we go to Burma Superstar. Our preferred plate is the tea leaf salad, bursting with its 20 something flavors in your mouth. We crave for it. The main courses are always savory and tasty, sometimes a bit too much on the spicy side. Sticky rice always my favorite. Get there early or be prepared... More

As with their San Francisco location, the vegetarian options are good. However, I still rate Mandalay in San Francisco better for Burmese food. We had the platha and dip, and tea leaf salad as part of lunch #3. The dip was very liquidy so challenging to get the taste of the dip. The salad was very lettucy, whereas Mandalay leaves... More

Great Service and good food. Hard to be seated as it is so popular and busy but there is also seating available at a bar. Lunch specials also recommended. Mango chicken and garlic noodles good price break on special.

We had a very nice meal here. Started with the salt and pepper calamari and fab lotus chips. Then we had chicken kebat, tofu veg kebat, mango tofu and mango chicken. We ordered 2 serving of rice for the 4 of us which was the perfect amount. Great cocktails. Service was fine even though the place was packed. My only... More

We went there and the food was very superb. Vegetable samosa were fresh and hit. The Rainbow salad was BIG. The desert Coco Fritters was ot of ordinary. We would highly recommend this place.

We have eaten here three times, usually opting for their amazing salads. Recently had a stew with pumpkin that really hit the spot. People are right- it is noisy and crowded, but only because the food is that tasty! Don't miss it if you are in Alameda.

I love this place, and their food is uniquely extraordinary, particularly the many-ingredient salads and platha bread with dip. But over the past few years, like its twin restaurant on Clement Street in SF, it's become too small to serve a rapidly expanding clientele effectively. It used to be a go-to choice a couple times a month, but it's now... More

We like to come to Burma Superstar for dinner during the week. Weekends are crowded, but reservations can be called in or taken at the door if you are willing to wait. Unusual appetisers and fantastic salads. All of the entree items have been good. Next door to Tucker's Ice Cream.
