I've been hearing about Yume for some time and finally got a chance to dine at this restaurant. To secure a seating, we have a friend, who went there around noon time to secure 4 seats for a 7 pm seating. The restaurant only seats...More

To all the sycophantic Yume junkies who think this is the ultimate Japanese sushi dining experience, the truth is that this place would not survive in Japan. It's not that the sushi is not divine--it is! And it's not that Hideki is not a master...More

The restaurant only serves 8 guests per seating, 5pm, 7.30pm and 9.30pm. For the 5pm, you have to start queuing at 4pm already. No reservation policy. However, once you sink your teeth into the first bite, you feel that it was well worth the wait....More

I want to revise my last review and let everyone know that THIS PLACE HAS GONE DOWNHILL...the owners are clearly looking to cash in on what was once a good thing. I recently went as a party of three..and while the other two in my...More

The reviews that compare this place to the "Soup Nazi" episode of Seinfeld are right on. There are lots of unspoken rules and you get scolded. The sushi is certainly good, perhaps the best on Alameda Island. But anybody who thinks it's the best in...More
